Alexander Hamilton - he played a major roll in bringing the Country together after the Revolutionary War, played a major roll in the Supreme Court, basically created the American Economy and did all this purely for the betterment of America - not for his own wellbeing (he ideologically opposed much of the new American Government, but still fought for it).

I'd say Washington.

Though the Three Amigos of Adams, Franklin and Jefferson are close. But that would be fathers, not father.

For sake of school pride, I'm saying James Madison.
If not for him, our law system might have been weak.
Hamilton is important as well.
It's too bad he died before he could have become president. He would have made a great one. He could ended slavery, because he was very strong supporter against it. Thanks Aaron Burr, I hope your burning in hell for what you did.

What I love about Alexander is that he stood by his guns - he did what he said he was going to do and always did what he thought was best for the Country. That is something Jefferson, among other leading political figures at the time - or President since, couldn't say.

He may certainly be the one of the most honorable founding fathers but I'm not sure he was the most important. I'd have to vote for Jefferson based on importance.

Jefferson was a brilliant man, his ideas were incredible for the time and he was indescribably important to the founding of this country.

But what good would his ideas of done if not for Hamilton's financial plans?
