Guitar: Hendrix
Harmonica: Sonny Boy Williamson
Drums: Michael Shrieve/Guy evans
Female Vocals: Jannis Joplin

Alternatively, list who'd you'd love to see in a band together:

Harmonica: Sonny boy willaimson

"I'M A GENIUS TOO YKNOW!"

Prince is a certified musical genius, not only does he compose, arrange and play most instruments on all his albums, the man also creates much more music than his labels have been able to release

Mattew Sweet is also a gifted multi-instrumentalist and composer

Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters recorded most of the instruments on his first FF album

by the way, I didn't understand the fist post in this thread, but contributed anyway

It's a picture designed by Rob Jones. Great promotional artist.

Ok I know its Teddy Roosvelt but he looks like a serial killer there.

this thread is about which people were best at one particular instrument, not who could play the most, although i see where your coming from.

I thought it was going to be some sort of uber-band style thread with various musicians of your choice. Imagine my surprise when, in fact, it started as yet another Hendrix brown nosing fest.

it's pretty difficult to establish who is the best guitar player or percussionist or tuba player, because what can be amazing to some, can come out as not so good to someone else

for example, a lot of people praise Yngwie Malmsteen as an extraordinary guitar player, but I find him repetitive and boring

so this brings the question, what is better? 57 notes played flawlesly or one that just grabs you and holds you and evokes a lot of emotion?

hey, I love Hendrix as much as the next guy, butI don't find him as much of an influence on my playing

I thought this would be a chance for you to accept my opinion on that matter, and then go on to discuss other musicians? Wanna agree to disagree so we can have a nice discussion?

A drumming genius of modern music: Patrick Keeler.

The one and only Prince...

His guitar sounds even better than Hendrix!

If you'd opened with 'What is your favourite musician on any particular instrument?' we might've had a chance. Fair do's though; agree to disagree.

chokes on confusion, but restrains oneself. Well it's your opinion, your welcome to it, i just disagree
