So I'm facing a dilemma here;
Project: I made a video using footage from the Sam Raimi trilogy of Spider-Man films, and topped the montage with a song from an album released by Sony BMG for the second movie in this trilogy.
Issue: Universal Music Group made a copyright claim for the song on youTube, I disputed that the music is not their property, and less than 12 hours later YouTube came to me with a claim that the copyright file is just and my dispute is declined under "Claimant reviewed your dispute and it has the right for the copyright claim".
I deleted that video and edited a new video giving credit to Sony BMG, with a big print on this music is not property of UMG, I still received a copyright claim from UMG, and filed another dispute under "That is property of another Music Group, they have no right for their copyright claim".
Question: Is there any detail I missed? I checked and double-checked for subsidiaries for all music groups in discussion, and I see that Sony BMG and UMG have no sharing with the exception of co-owning Nickolodeon music. I wonder if I missed a detail regarding ownership of Yellowcard's song; Gifts and Curses.
Help in this matter would be very much appreciated, and I thank you for your time and cooperation in the matter.
