Hey,
Since i'm an impatient little imp i've started writing my own Batman trilogy of films. I start with 'The Batman' then 'The Batman: Dark Knight' and end with 'The Batman: A New Dawn' here are my story-arcs for the three films. Let me know what you guys think!

The Batman -

Thomas and Martha Wayne killed
Bruce sees city 'run' by Maroni and Falcone
Leaves to start training
Returns as vigilante, beaten and shot on first night
Creates The Batman
Goes after Maroni
The Riddler starts robbing Gothams elite
Harvey Dent elected city DA
Gordon goes after Batman, then works with him
Batman meets Catwoman
Batman asked to help capture The Riddler
He carries on vendetta against Maroni
Batman and Catwoman start relationship
He captures Maroni and delivers him to police
Comedian forced to dress as Red Hood and rob playing card factory
Batman interupts and comedian jumps into a vat of acid
The Riddler sees all of this and is captured by The Batman
Dent, Gordon and Batman form crime fighting trinity
Joker is formed

The Batman: Dark Knight -

Maroni is to stand trial
Joker arrives, begins killing Gothamites
Gordon again asks Batman for help
Falcone takes over more and more of the city
Batman has to stop Catwoman
Gordon starts affair with Essen
Joker kills a school class in front of Batman
Dent starts to crack up
Joker beats Catwoman in front of Batman
Batman tries to make her give up crime
Joker kidnaps Barbara Gordon, shooting and paralysing her
Gordon is tortured by Joker
Batman finally captures Joker
Essen is escorting Joker to Arkham, he kills her
Maroni throws acid in Dents face
Dent escapes from hospital

The Batman: A New Dawn -

Two-Face starts crime life
Batman offers to reveal his identity to Catwoman if she'll give up crime
Catwoman refuses, says she prefers crime
Gordon confesses affair to Batman
Two-Face carries on crime, targetting Maroni and other criminals
Batman fights Two-Face, and loses
He considers hanging up the cape and cowl
Two-Face kidnaps Catwoman
Batman arrives to save her
He captures Two-Face and sends him to Arkham
Gordon and Batman discuss everything
Interupted by news that Joker has taken over Arkham, demanding Batman
He arrives at Arkham and has to fight The Riddler, he loses after Dr. Quinzell helps Riddler
Joker tells him he has one hour to find and save missing guards/doctors/nurses
He lets Two-Face free to kill Batman
Batman beats Two-Face again
Batman and Joker come face to face on the roof
They fight, Batman wins, breaking Joker's back
Joker tells one final joke, his infamous 'Two patients escape from an asylum'
Joker dies
Batman goes down into Arkham and is surrounded by Two-Face, Riddler and Dr. Quinzell
They agree that Two-Face can flip the coin to decide what happens
Batman leaves
Final shot shows that the coin was scarred face up and that Harvey dent still has some hope

So those are my ideas, obviously i'll pad them out more, and add little bits like all good writers do! What does everyone think? There all based on certain comics, does everyone know which ones? Do they like this? Do they want to read the scripts?

Not sure about Joker telling Dent what to do but its not bad dude!

Meh, it's more of a he allows him, kind of Two-Face telling Joker what to do, but no big...

I think you're trying to cram too much into the first film. looking at the villains alone you've got Maroni, Falcone, the Riddler, Catwoman, and the Red Hood.

I always thought a movie based off of ''Almost Got 'Im'' - the TAS episode, would be awesome if translated to film. It would basically be a two hour movie of ''Villains on Parade'', and not much of Batman would be seen. Basically, the villains would finally get their OWN movie.

But I love your ideas, dude.

Meh, Catwoman and Red Hood aren't really villians, plus Maroni and Falcone are supporting characters, but thanks for the input

I think this belongs in a different part of the boards... like misc or something. This doesn't have anything to do with The Dark Knight... :(

I see... Seems to me that if someone was telling me what to do and where to put my post he was a mod... How strange that someone could just assume authority...

I´m going to be quite frank and direct, i don´t like it one bit.
It´s too convoluted, too much going on, too many characters in each movie (damn, the 1st movie alone would have Batman, The Riddler, Catwoman, Red Hood, Maroni, Falcone, Gordon, Dent....).
Bottom line, it would never work.

Now wait a minute. It COULD work. If The Long Halloween had pretty much the entire friggin' rogues gallery, then a movie could do it too. The only problem would be that some of the villains' roles would be as small as Zsasz's from ''Begins''.

But The Long Halloween is a comic, one written years after the characters were introduced to the public, here we are talking about a movie, and "The Batman" would be the first one.
It´s too many characters to introduce in one movie, my call, deal with Batman, Gordon, Moroni and Falcone and leave the rest for the second movie.

Well I can respect that, but I never said how long this movie would be (I could write upto 300 pages easy with what i've got) plus your argument for TLH works for this, the public already knows the rogues gallery so they don't need that much introduction...

But, from what i can get from your ideas, your are making a first trilogy, meaning you would restart, am i right?
If that is the case, you would need to introduce the characters.

But, hey, kudos for your ideas

pretty good but for the first one,you shouldnt have that many villains, and catwoman should become catwoman in #2

That's a little too much to keep up with

Sounds great, I wouldn't mind three 2,5 hour films.
If LOTR could cramp so much in a trilogy why can't they do this with Batman?

Well I certainly seem to have caused some debate. Yeah it would be a re-boot so to speak, but when they re-booted with Nolan people still knew who The Joker was (is/will be) so I don't see the problem...

Thanks for the input guys...
