I work in Marketing & Communications at a hospital coordinating two different programs. The first one is for pregnant women in need -educational classes and a "points" system that lets them earn points for going to the doctor and our classes, and they can spend the points on baby care items. I see a lot of clueless scared teenagers

It's to educate women to help prevent infant mortality. The second is the hospital's volunteer program.
I enjoy my job overall, but it isn't my passion. It was essentially a case of "take what I can get that I don't despise." I was an English major, haha. And before English, I would have chosen to major in music, but I tried to pick a degree where I stood a good chance of getting a job, regardless of the economy here. At least I still get to write and edit at my current job

And I was promoted within my first 6 months on the job, so I guess that means I'm good at what I do? It is a very patience-trying position. I enjoy both music and fashion, and I always sort of wonder where my life would be if I'd chosen to pursue either fields. They're still fun hobbies!

I am proud of you for pursuing what you love and having success in it

It's a wonderful thing to see someone do well. I had a friend who dropped out of high school to sing, and she is still in the same place that she was all those years ago. It makes me sad for her because she works so hard at it.
