Right Now, there doing fine. One of em has burried into the ground and the other has lost a limb, which is normal for them.

Here's a super awseme pic i got a couple days ago of one of the little Crustaceans.

I took this about 2 days ago, he's extremely white, meaning there approaching Molting time.

So he pretty much crawls outta his skin/shell?

Oh wow, Molting Hermit Crabs. For some reason when my crab did this it died a day or two after. Your crab looks really cute.

Yup. I've decided to put them in 2 seperate large cereal bo9wls for isolaition. I've read on the internets that if they were together and molted. they could eat eachother. (Crabs molt OUTSIDE of there shell....they are very vulnerable at that time) and there doing fine. I can hear at night occasionally the sound of them moving around. i even stood there and watched one of them eat some food. the other ate an entire Cheerio!

I just hope they don't die. i picked both of them up this mornign for mandatory check (the guy that's buried isn't really buried, no sand on him, he could crawl out of the hole lol) and i saw claws moving a little and such so there alive. put them back down on the very spot they were prior....

:huh::huh::huh:

Why did I get a feeling of ... weirdness towards it?

Ah, hermit crabs, the cheap disposable pet. I had one when I was a kid. Apparently either mine or my brother's got loose and we never found it, because when my Mom and I were cleaning/throwing out junk in the laundry room, we came across a dead shell-less hermit crab. It had dried out.:csad:

Where's the smiley for throwing up?

Damn, not an easy way to find out it's dead....

Right now, one guy is just lying down right now...i'm a little worried...but he's still aalive and kicking so....yeah. And the other guy has come out of his hole and grabbed a cheerio and went back inside...lol

woohoo! Both had a quick, perfect Molt.

they changed there shells and are doing fine.

Here they are.

That is Snappy. Why name it that? well. When i picked it up at a Petstore, It pinched me, my sister and the women working there. LOL. And He sure does live up to his Name, i've caught him fighting like 3 times with the other guy..

And Here is Chris.

I Named him this.....I Don't know why but i like the name...lol

Here they are together on my hand. Just to show you how SMALL they are.

I'm planning to get a Larger tank...maybe 20 gallons if i have enough coin and buy 2-3 more crabs...

Hmm. I would expected one of them to be named Brady or Darth Hoodie.

Bad News everyone. Chris is Dead. Mites killed him. I will miss him deeply :csad:
thankfully snappy is fine.

Yeah :csad:
I've given the tank a DEEP Clean to make sure no more pesky Mites come and eat up Snappy.
