The Dark Knight names and locations

various names and locations are constantly being referenced in the ARG. A few are important, but most are not. I was thinking we could use a single thread that keeps track of all of them so that

1) ppl don't waste time looking for duplicate leads
2) we don't miss something

I'm offering to keep track of things and re-post new names here at the top of the thread. I'm thinking stuff should only be from let's say GT ep#1 on. I'll kick us off:

Yes I agree with waiting on we need to keep the confusion down, but i also agree that we should have a page on the wiki with character names and a short bio. It's kinda hard shuffling through each individual page to find out how each website is connected to each character.

the wiki has names and locations that lead somewhere. it does not have false leads (eg such and such has been checked in st switan's, so and so was emailed with no response at mcu.com etc), it's not grouped into relationships, and it doesn't allow direct input.

If it's a bad idea it'll peter out or the mods will kill it.

As for confusion, I'll keep track of things and just keep the list at the top constantly up to date. That was it should DECREASE confusion.

I think ANITA18 is the wiki champion. I am not positive tho. Might wanna ask around.......

Oh crap now I feel ******ed cause I have in my signature for people to check the wiki and I didnt even know that was there.Now I gotta sacrifice a pig now to the wiki gods. I was so hoping i wasn't going to have to do that.

again that's not entirely my point. the WIKI generally posts confirmed solutions and names that lead somewhere (as it should) while we generally engage in gossip and try out new ideas. I'd like to keep track not only of what works, but what DOESN'T work, so that we don't go over the same territory multiple times.

And, it would allow ppl to see at a glance that such-and-such (e.g. the wax museum) had never been looked at and give them a try.

In all events, I suggest we stop commenting on whether its a good idea or not. Let's keep the thread limited to 'So-and-so does not respond to emails', 'I've called acme and left a message re: foo', etc. If it's a bad idea itll die out quicker if you just leave it alone.

Ummm, how do you know that just because you tried Gothamadoptionagency.com today, and it was nothing, that it does not become active three days from now? Just a small example, but sometimes listing things like this can stifle creativity, because people think it has been tried and failed, so they never try it again, even though it has been activated. In principle, I agree with what you are trying to do, but we are not talking about laws of nature or a fixed universe here - we are talking about a changing entity, that changes according to some plan that we don't know about, and might even be changing because they are making up the details, like the .swf prefixes as we go along. I think there is a definite plan and schedule, but some of those details can change at their whim.

Indeed, some things that we have found and used have changed afterwards.
