Vanessa Hudgens to Star in NBC's DC Comics Comedy 'Powerless'

Hudgens will topline the pilot and portray Emily Locke, an insurance claims adjuster who loves her job because she gets to help people, Emily likes to fly under the radar and just get her work done. She finds herself increasingly exasperated by the disruptive antics of the various Super Heroes that proliferate in her city.

I'm really looking forward to this but I hope they stay faithful to characters and don't change power sets as they seem to have done for Crimson Fox. Hopefully it isn't going to all be physical damage with heroes/villains using mainly super strength/weaponry. They could easily have some fun thinking of funny mishaps that different powers might have.

They're clearly try to go for a realistic, modern approach. I could see a superhero wearing it but for me it could be anyone, not instantly Crimson Fox. They didn't even get the colours right. But at least the brightness of it shows they're trying to have fun.

We don't know that until it airs.

The renewal bar is much lower for comedies than it is for dramas at NBC.

I hope the pilot leaks out like it did for Supergirl, Lucifer, Constantine, and Flash.

However I didn't know the Crimson Fox has super strength?

You know I thought this was Damage Control thereby Marvel Cinematic Universe but I assume with all the DC Comics call backs that's their version of this?

I recall a comic series along these lines I think it was called Power Company but I don't think that was Damage Control sort of stuff?

Well it looks like Super Girl but with no one super powered working for the company so lots of snark and with the guy from Community involved it should be good with the possibility of very good given who their new boss is!

One question, whose the guy able to fly and throw fireballs?

I hope they throw in a sequence where a supervillain(or ess) overhears that woman and offers to pass on their number if they come across Aquaman!
