Netflix acquires the rights to all 22 Redwall books, plans film and series

Never read the books but watched the cartoon on PBS back in the day.

It has been a LONG time since I got this excited for a new media announcement. It will be interested how they do it, since so well of the books share characters. It would work best as an AHS-style anthology. But it has the potential to be INCREDIBLE. These books were my childhood. That and the Warriors series, which should also definitely be turned into a series. That strikes me as an HBOMAX property.

I really hope they don't cheap out on this, Redwall is a huge part of my childhood, I hope they don't tone it down too much, the books were not shy about violence.
