Look- it's just a stupid picture. It wasn't even a major release or anything, just something an overseas mag got from a Fox press kit.
I can't believe all this sniping and carping over something so freakin' inconsequential.

If this stupid Marvel vs DC crap starts up again, I will not be sticking around here, I can tell you that. I hear enough of that brain-dead nonsense at the comic shop - when I can stand to go in there.

Just because someone doesn't like a still from a Marvel film doesn't automatically make them a " DC fan."
I mean seriously, who really gives a rat's rump? Anybody that's intellectually stunted sufficiently that they actually prefer one comicbook company's entire output to another's...I just can't put into words how stupid that is.

I've been putting up with this juvenile bickering between Marvel & DC fans for over thirty-five years.

Just as I surmised, the logo on Ben's belt has been centered this time.

EDIT: Also, notice that Ben is the same height essentially as Johnny in both photos, although in the new pic he is clearly broader in mass. So maybe there's been no manipping to at least improve his height afterall. Looking at the soles of his boots, I think it's safe to say the've got Chiklis on serious platforms. Maybe even 5 or 6 inchers.

They're both manipulation. In the one from the first movie Evans' head got shrinked. And in this one, they've been superimposed on the background, the ligth and focus of characters and set don't match. So they probably resized them too.

Well, comparing the two pictures, I've got to say they have done some tweeking of the Thing. It looks like they've slimmed down the waist, gave him a more defined chest and made him a brighter, more vibrant orange. I still think they could have done a better job with Reed's hair and added a bit more gray. And personally, I'm hating that wig Jessica's wearing. It just looks fake. Now to really make my day, I can't wait for a pic of the Silver Surfer, but I have a feeling any pics of him aren't going to come out until after the trailer has been released in a little over a week.

Actually Jessica wore wigs in both films. But I agree with you: The new one just looks...odd for some reason. I think it's because there is absolutely NO contrasting color at the roots. Which is...well unnatural. Even the truest, blondest blondes have some brown or gray at the roots.

This new wig is giving me X-Men 1 Storm Wig vibes.

Perhaps this is one reason they put ben in tights, to make him taller.

Ah gezz. That was the whole idea. Make the suit lighter, so Chilkis could move around in it. Make it less bulky. The other was way to big. Can't please everyone I guess.

Then make it lighter. He's The THING! If anything it should have been MORE bulky. Get a lighter material. Don't shave it down...Now he's just a regular guy with orange rocky skin.

EDIT: I mean look at that. It's like just a head placed on huge shoulders. No neck or anything. I was one of the people that practically had a geekasm when I first saw this.

The problem people had was the human proportions and now he looks even MORE human. Here's hoping it's a bad angle.

He's a deeper orange, which I like. The plates/scales are also more distinctive and the brow is definitely more pronounced from most angles, as we saw in the wedding shots.
Of course I'd prefer a bulkier Thing, but overall I find this to be an improvement.
I'll have a stronger opinion after next Friday's trailer.

Yup thats true, they've made some nice improvements to the Thing suit.

I also notice that Alba seems to be wearing flat boots instead of lifts.

I was looking through this months Premiere (Tobey in the black spider-man suit unmasked, is on the cover), and the group shot of the Fantastic Four shows a completely different background. The one we see online right now is the actually group from the Premiere photo inserted into another background, hence the look of photomanipulation.
