Exactly. Not latex at all, and that black and white sure looks like it's mixing (on the edges) to me. Still looks pretty cool, but not what I imagined, from the comic book description.

Judging by the trailer, the mask will look a bit "rough" and textured in the movie, too. At least the patterns will be constantly changing and there didn't seem to be any gray parts.

that picture is horribly cropped, and the overall image is poorly designed. that watchmen strip going down the side thats been a common motif in the designs promoting this movie doesnt work well. it may have worked for promoting the comics in the 80's, and i understand the film promotions is trying to reference that, but its just not working for me. im sure this photo as a whole is pretty rad though, i got nothing against that. just how its presented.

Its on the cover of a book containing black and white photos of the characters. So it probably is an actual photo. The DC Direct Bust of Rorschach was obviously inspired by this photo.

I dunno.. I thought it was just an extremely well done pencil work. Either that, or maybe a Hot Toys or Medicom version.
