Newly created marvel characters (2000-2015)

Yeah, America Chavez would be badass. The laws of physics be damned.

Ms. Marvel, Silk, and Spider-Gwen.

Silk would be really cool to see I reckon. It's a shame she's probably tied up with Sony and it's probably not worth working out a deal with them to get temporary ownership like they did with Spider-Man.

I definitely want to see the young avengers especially hulkling and Wiccan.

Kamala, Hulkling and Wiccan, Broo, Kid Gladiator, Quentin Quire, X-23, Fantomex

That's not true, btw. The X-Men books have still been introducing new mutant characters for the past several years. In the last few months alone we've had two brand new teams of mutant villains introduced in All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men.

Glad to see someone who knows what they're talking about debunk that.

Aaron and Bendis did seem to be having a competition for weirdest new mutant for a while.

Runaways, Silk, Kate Bishop, Fantomex, Kamala, Quentin Quire, Outlaw, Bob, Stepford Cuckoos and X-23
Glad to see someone who knows what they're talking about debunk that.

Yeah, that rumor gets debunked every year but people keep consisting. When the Bendis run was going on and people were trying to say "Marvel can't create new mutants" the main plot was literally finding new mutants to recruit haha. Eva Bell was in issue 1 right off the bat.

It'd be neat if they threw in a reference to her in the new Spider-Man. Maybe just an offhanded mention of how Peter has a classmate named Cindy who has gone missing.

Elsa Bloodstone. I just dig her. Smartass, badass monster hunter. So many monster villains that she could go up against. I like the she is a legacy, her father being a pulpy Doc Savage type. It adds history to the MCU, fills in the gap between WWII and the first Iron Man.

Second (or whatever multiple) Kate Bishop. She might be one of the best Marvel characters ever

Kate Bishop would be an awesome addition to the films.

Armor.

Her powers are so comic-bookishly dumb, but in a cool way. The potential for a very fun character to watch on the big screen is there.

I almost wish they used her instead of Negasonic in the Deadpool movie. She would've worked perfectly for what they had in mind even without the powerset change. I really hope Fox is saving her for something else.

The Sentry, because he is a great character. A Netflix series could perhaps work better than a feature film, but either as an adaptation of his first mini series would be amazing.
Ex Nihilo, because he was a brilliant character and it opens up all kinds of doors to big possibilities.

I really liked Kate Bishop in the Fraction-Hawkeye run.

A little tidbit to add to the talk about Marvel's modern Mutants: Marvel probably is pretty cool with their comic creators making new Mutants if they premiere outside of the X-books, because it seems Marvel still keeps their film rights! Small AoS spoiler: Eden Fasi was teased in AoS. He'll be an Inhuman for the MCU, but he's a Mutant over in the comics.

America Chavez is definitely one of those characters that needs to appear sooner rather than later

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. It would have been nice to see Emma Stone return as her had the TASM series continued.

Those are the best ones, by far. There's a lot of others that'd be great to have, The Young Avengers, The Runaways, and Amadeus Cho, Spider-Gwen and Silk.

Amadeus would work well in the MCU, but not as Totally Awesome Hulk. That is one horrible comic.

Ezekiel
Morlun
Gorgon
Queen Veranke
Ares
Daken
X23
The Sentry

Several good choices. Sentry would be a must if Marvel ever decided to adapt World War Hulk.

It would have been nice to see her in Thor: Ragnarok.

I think a couple of years after Chris Hemsworth stops being Thor (or at least stops being in a Marvel movie every other year), they might do a movie inspired by the Incredible Hercules, with both Herc and Amadeus in the title like with Ant-Man and the Wasp, to distinguish it from all of the other Hercules movies out there.

Again, not true. Well, the point about them keeping film rights if they're not X-Men might be true, but the majority of the new mutants who have been created in recent years were created in X-books.

To reiterate my point from a few months ago, this assertion that Marvel has barred X-Men creators from making new mutants is untrue.

I specifically said that characters NOT ORIGINATING in X-Men comics seem to have been cleared up a little. Marvel just set up a Mutant character (and simply changed him to an Inhuman).

If I had to guess, Molly Hayes is probably with Marvel. Eden Fasi definitely is. They're not exactly recent characters, but I do wonder what this means for Alpha Flight. That one's weird. Both Marvel and Fox have had Department H references. Odd thing to be referenced in those two separate continuities, but it did happen...

I know that. I was saying there was nothing obstructing characters created in the X-Men to begin with.

Would love to see

Skaar
The Sentry
Phyla Vel
Zadkiel
And personally I liked Wraith from Annihilation Conquest, don't get the hate, same with Toxin for that matter from Venom vs Carnage.

For Fox? X23

Ya know even if we don't get a Runaways movie, Nico Minoru could appear in a Doctor Strange sequel.

A Runaways movie definitely has potential, since it doesn't revolve around as much with characters or concepts currently loaned out to Sony or Fox (although Molly Hayes would have to be something other than a mutant, in the MCU).

The Young Avengers, on the other hand, have a (half)Skrull and a couple of mutant kids of the Scarlet Witch, which makes adapting them take a bit more creativity (and perhaps more use of later characters, like the abovementioned America Chavez, or Noh-Varr).

Nextwave is pretty recent, even if 'the Captain' is the only new character. Elsa Bloodstone, Machine Man/Aaron Stack and Monica Rambeau are great characters, and only Tabitha would require any adaptation (or they could just go with the flow and cut the scene whenever her mutant origin would be referenced, and if they include the flashbacks, have a big 'property of Fox' logo stamped over her flashback, blocking the view of Cable and his 'techno-organic prolapse'). That sort of thing might fit the irreverent nature of Nextwave in general, and be a fun sort of in-joke (in the vein of the various in-jokes scattered through Deadpool).
