Here's the list in case anyone wants to see:

11. The casting of "Superman Returns" - Superman Returns

10. That dumb-ass kid who falls from Niagra Falls - Superman II

09. The recreation of the romantic flying scenes from "Superman" - Superman IV: The Quest For Peace

08. The woman and the baby carriage that stand under the falling tower - Superman II

07. The special effects of "Superman IV" - Superman IV: The Quest For Peace

06. How nobody can recognize Clark Kent as Superman because of his glasses - Superman-Superman Returns

05. The birth of Nuclear Man - Superman IV: The Quest For Peace

04. The slapstick opening of "Superman III" - Superman III

03. The memory-wipe kiss from "Superman II" - Superman II"

02. The casting of Richard Pryor in "Superman III" - Superman III

01. Spinning the earth backwards to reverse time - Superman: The Movie

About the "Superman spinning the earth backwards" sequence from the first movie, it makes sense in the context of Jor-El prviously telling his son to not use his powers to "interfer with the course of human history". Meanwhile, Pa Kent tells his adopted son to use his powers for the benefit of humanity. So of course, when Jonathan suddenly dies of a heart attack, Clark in a sense, feels morally responsible (maybe he could've somehow advised Jonathan to see a doctor). When Superman sees another loved one of his, Lois, suddenly die, naturally he flips out. Also why couldn't Superman simply stop the two missiles rather than turn back time, well you have to keep in mind that he was still recovering from having that Kyptonite neckless from Lex Luthor on.

Now as far as dumb Superman movie moments that Doug overlooked...:
*The photo of Bill Cosby in Perry White's office in Superman II

*Superman throwing a cellophane S-shield towards Zod, Ursa and Non in Superman II

*Vera Webster transforming into a robot in Superman III

*Lex Luthor having hair when we first see him in prison in Superman IV. It was previously established towards the end the first movie, that Lex wore a hairpeice. More to the point, in the second movie, we first see Lex (still in prison) bald.

*Superman being able to lift an island full of Kryptonite in Superman Returns (that was your big climax Bryan Singer).

*And speaking of Superman Returns, if Doug is going to rip on the fourth movie for trying too hard to recreate events from the first movie, then the same thing should be said about Bryan Singer and company trying to hard to recreate the Richard Donnor universe instead of putting more of a personal stamp (while still remaining respectful to the source material).

*The cryptic explaination for how Clark got his powers back in Superman II. It would've made sense had Marlon Brando not been so greedy and/or the Salkinds not been cheap and refusing to use the Jor-El (Jor-El sacrificed himself in order to give his son his powers back in the Richard Donner cut) footage. Then again, why couldnt the filmmakers simply used Lara (Susannah York) for the sacrificing, since she pretty much substituted for Marlon Brando/Jor-El anyway.

By far, the stupidest moment ever was in Superman IV: the Quest For Peace. The scene where he was battling Nuclear Man and they destroyed the Great Wall of China and Supes just looked at it and rebuilt it with his sudden new power.

What a truly awful scene that one was. Even Reeves said that movie was a stinker.

01. Spinning the earth backwards to reverse time - Superman: The Movie

Superman did Not spin the Earth backwards to reverse time, that is misinterpretation, he was flying faster than speed of Light around the Earth which enabled him to go back in time (I believe that was what the film makers wanted us to believe.) and meet Lois lane alive so that he could rescue her, that means that earlier events where Lois died did happen but they exist in the alternate parallel reality.

How was that a stupid moment ?

Well in the movie you clearly see the Earth spinning backwards. As Jack said Superman had to fly in the opposite direction once again to make Earth move forwards.

How was that a stupid moment ?

Because he had been unable to fly from New Jersey to California in time and yet the could surround Earth several times per second.

Now, how is the casting of SR, a "moment"?

Including anything about the glasses disguise in a list like this is just stupid. It's Superman, no matter what he's in, he's probably going to have the same disguise. It's part of the character, not a "moment" from one of the movies. It's like saying one of the dumbest moments from an Aquaman movie is "the part where he talked to fish".
