Were there to exist an album of only the very finest 'inspired by' music from the genre (as opposed to a score version featuring the likes of John Williams and Danny Elfman, which will fill up space somewhere else) - not that such a CD exists - what would you include? Here's mine;

1. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me - U2 (Batman Forever)

2. The Eyes of Truth - Enigma (The Matrix)

3. Foolish Games - Jewel (Batman & Robin)

4. T.U.R.T.L.E Power - Partners in KRIME (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

5. Bring Me to Life - Evanesence (Daredevil)

6. Trust - Prince (Batman)

7. I'm Not Driving Anymore - Rob Dougan (The Matrix Reloaded DVD)

8. Kiss from a Rose - Seal (Batman Forever)

9. Chinese Burn (Lunatic Calm Remix) - Curve (X-Men teaser trailer)

10. Partyman - Prince (Batman)

CD2

1. My Immortal - Evanescence (Daredevil)

2. Clubbed to Death - Rob Dougan (The Matrix)

3. Give a Little Bit - Supertramp (Superman)

4. Face2Face - Sixioue and the Banshees (Batman Returns)

5. Weapons of Mass Distortion - Crystal Method (Blade Trinity)

Hero-Chad & Jose
Bring Me To Life-Evanescance
Kiss From A Rose-Seal
Ordinary-Train
Spider-Man-Aerosmith
Batdance-Prince
Confusion-(Don't remember who recorded it, but it was the opening club song from Blade)
Broken-Amy Lee
Scandalous-Prince
Iron Man (just on G.P.)
Can You Read My Mind (some of our younger posters may not know this, but there was a version of this that was actually sung, & not by Margot Kidder)
Ghost Riders In The Sky

Bone Thugs n Harmony - Look Into my Eyes

Batman and Robin soundtrack

Wasn't that fond of the movie, but that was the cut back in 97.

I liked R. Kelly's "Gotham City" at the time; listened to it a few years later & thought "Oh, my God-this is crap."

4. Face2Face - Sixioue and the Banshees (Batman Returns)
Great inclusion.

I'd be simply repeating most of what is already listed, but I wanted to mention that cut specifically.

Despite any of the critical reception, Batman movies have always had great music.

Remember when movies that weren't "urban" or black themed had rap on their soundtracks? TMNT 1990 - Partners in Cryme

Small Soliders- Bone Thugs again.

I notice that the Judd Apatow movies like to incorporate rap at points.

I don't know about that. I have the soundtracks to the '89 movie & Forever; I wouldn't touch B & R's music & I remember nothing music-wise about Returns apart from hearing "Superfreak" playing during the party.

Well, I didn't mean the entire soundtracks for all of the Batman movies. I just meant that each had good music. Batman had Prince. Batman Returns had the one "Face to Face" song, etc. Batman & Robin had some songs that I liked on the soundtrack. I didn't like the whole thing, but it had a bit of worthy stuff on it.

It didn't work so well every time. :csad:

All good choices, but I would also add:

Ninja Rap - Vanilla Ice :oldrazz: (TMNT II)

Tarzan Boy (TMNT III)

Scandalous - Prince (Batman)

Hero - Knickleback (Spider-Man)

Vindicated - Dashboard Confession (Spider-Man 2)

The Rescue - American Hi Fi (Superman Returns/Sound of Superman album)

Save Me (Smallville)

Cuban Pete - Jim Carrey (The Mask)

Hey Pachuco - Royal Crown Revue (The Mask)

Men In Black - Will Smith (MIB)

Nod Your Heard - Will Smith (MIB2)

I can't do Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap". Sorry.
For me the best TMNT song is "Awesome", by Ya Kid K.

"Good crap"? Sounds like an oxymoron.
I'll admit I found the song catchy when I was 19, but unbearable now.

Despite it being crap it is, in its own way, iconic. You can't have one of these CDs/mixtapes without including it.

Street Fighter takes that one. It's whole soundtrack was rap; it had Nas, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Pharcyde, etc.

As much as I love the movie, none of the songs were very memorable for me.

OMG I used to have that on cassette. I listened to it so many times, it broke. Thanks for reminding me to get the CD. It's a very underrated album as well.

speaking of rap soundtracks, I remember Blade had some decent rap/techno tracks. Blade Trinity wasn't bad either.

"What We're All About" by Sum 41 from the first Spider-Man soundtrack.

It's probably the only song by Sum 41 I've ever liked. It's got a serious Beastie Boys feel to it.

Not into Beastie Boys, but it was still the only song of theirs I liked; it was just strangely catchy.

Bone Thugs featuring Henry Rollins - War

Off of Small Soldiers soundtrack

Was re-watching Mask tonight on TBS. That movie's soundtrack kicks ass. Who's That Man, Bounce Around, Hi De Ho, Let The Good Times Roll, Straight Up, and Hey Pachuco are great songs.

I have those songs on my MP3 player.

Is Alice in wonderland considered a Superhero? Anyway.
