How much bigger can these cruise ships get?

Is this necessary? I've never had a desire to go on a cruise ship. I'm I missing something?

Ugh, I don't know if I should be amazed, or disgusted, or both. What is the point of going on a cruise if it is basically designed to make you forget that you are on a boat?

Yeah, I agree. I want to know that I'm on a ship if I'm going to go on a cruise. That's half the point, isn't it? This looks like a floating Vegas. If I want the Vegas experience I'll go to....wait for it.....wait for it.....Vegas!

They have cruise ship condos now though. You travel all over the world but you're always home because you own the condo on the ship.

Part of it is the surroundings. Would you rather do that stuff in a desert, or on the ocean?

The difference is that you'd have practically NO idea you were even ON the ocean to begin with and you'd be paying much more of a premium for the experience. The only advantage you would have is that, whenever you disembarked you'd be at a new port and see something new every time.

I'm sure they still have all the normal facilities of a cruise ship, they're probably advertising the stuff that's unique. I doubt they built all that stuff to the exclusion of a deck and everything, it's a really big ship. All the stuff they're advertising doesn't really interest me, but if it did I'd still rather do it on a ship. But this is more just personal opinion.

I want to go on a regular cruise, and then I'd love to go on this boat just because the amenities look AMAZING. I'd go if it were on land, too.

I agree with Jag and the others.

Building a cruise ship that makes you forget you're on a cruise ship is pointless.

This would make more sense if it were a spaceship.

That's it! They waited until all the icebergs had started melting to build a new "Titanic"! It all makes sense now.

And don't forget that the boat commands a fleet of benevolent whales.
