Sequels Official Brainiac casting thread

I'd go with Weaving, but wouldn't he be a little too typecast?

I dont know. The character is very different than Smith here, or at least thats how I want it.

but Weaving's voice might be a little too recognizable at this point, especially after The Matrix movies, Lord of the Rings, and V for Vendetta. Might be pushing it.

Then again, some of my picks were pretty cliche too.

LOL. Official? Which office sanctioned this? The office of messageboard casting polls? ;)

I still can't believe you actually got your forum. Ah well.

CGI robot version of Brainiac. Which means you gotta go voice actor to bring this dude to life.

Voice Actor choices:

John DiMaggio (Bender, General Grievous)
Frank Welker (Too many to name)
Corey Burton (good choice from above)

Actor Actor choices (Which is what it's going to be so they can put a name on the poster)

Michael Clarke Duncan
Keith David
Keifer Sutherland

Keifer would be great...I actually like him for the Joker.

This is where my vote goes to. Rick Moranis allthe way.

Same here. As a matter of fact, screw Brainiac. I want to see Superman vs. DARK HELMET.

John Malkovich, Hugo Weaving, or Keifer Sutherland would be good ones, IMO.

OK, crazy dark horse here (blame it on the fact that for some strange reason I like Braniac with a bit o British accent) how about Pierce Brosnan? or Guy Pierce???

Or a REAL darkhorse... THe guy who plays the Devil in Constantine/the Crazy gangsta VW Guy :D

Hey, the VW guy would be very nice as Braniac.

What about Tom Hanks?

Tom Hanks? Uh... great actor, but I REALLY can't see that one. As for the VW guy... "Karl Hungus" for those who remember The Big Lebowski... he's rocks, but I can't really see that one either.

You know, I can't see Tom Hanks doing Brainiac, and on the surface it doesn't make sense. However, that guy can do just about everything, and make it work. If he got the role, I wouldn't complain.

John Malkovich can play Brainiac that will be an awesome choice for him playing The Alien Invader.

Brainiac is like an Alien Invader who is created by one of Lex Luther's LexCorp Scientists who invented a computer robot machine with a Kryptinite Heart- Beat.

CGI would be good but what about James Marsters...of SMALLVILLE and BUFFY fame?

^Already been said like 3 times. Then they were shot down by folks who dont want the supes movies connected with Smallville. Luckily I'm not them, and I too would like marsters as braniac. Not because he was on Smallville, but just cuz he kicks ass. Or keifer sutherland, because of his voice, hes got the voice.

Yeah, JM can play a pretty creepy robot. I like this choice, I've always been a fan of his work, so it would be nice to see him in this series.

John Malcovich, Jeremy Irons, or the actor of matrix that made Agent Smith

I dont want any connections with Smallville. In their version, Brainiac is just a tool of Zod, I dont like.

Not entirely true. He's artificial intellegence created by Kryptonians, sorta like Superman: TAS. Brainiac is far for being Zod's tool. He works with him, not for him.

So far it seems he was created by Zod and currently he IS working for him.
