But isn't that what X-Force is about. It feels stale he switches from baddie to goodie crossing anti hero. I kind of liked him recently advising Cyclops, but I hop this comic deals with the loss of the angel on his shoulder Xavier. What can he do in a world where his best friend s dead???

Somehow the whole Phoenix thing in AvX affected his powers like it did the others who were actually possessed by it. Don't ask me how, it's Bendis' doing and I don't think he's ever fully explained it just beyond, "it just did."

This is currently my favorite X-book! It's a great read. For those out of the comics loop, you could pick this up and enjoy it without having to catch up on a bunch of stuff. It's a brutal book though, in the sense that Magneto does not hold back in his brutalization of the human villains. So those that are averse to violence should stay away.
