Yeah. That lack of line variation works as a style though, especially for Manga. I wouldn't call that lazy, it's a viable way to go.
What I'm saying is you could let the pencils not be as tight as you're going, then the ink stage is where you really finalize everything. That way it saves you time because if you render so tightly in the pencils, then if the inks are exactly the same, you're just doing the same drawing twice.

almost there, then the inks really tighten it all up.
Like I said though, everyone has their own process, you gotta do what works for you.
