Good eye. Yeah I always was partial to him being Freeze.

Lots of great work in here guys.

Ok I'm really not a colored pencil guy. My medium is water color and ink washes, but I'm trying to branch out.

I really wanted to take him back to basics. I also wanted to remove one of his most recognizable features, the big glass dome.
Here was my idea. The unit on his chest plugs directly into his heart. A coolant mixes with venom and his blood circulates through his body keeping him alive and removing his need for a totally airtight suit. The mask on his face gives him frosty air and keeps his lungs and the O2 that mixes with his blood cold. I wanted to give him a gritty retro look. I also mounted the cold gun on his arm, mainly just because I thought it would look kind of cool.
Can't wait to see what everyone else came up with.

I love the idea behind this design, the mask is influenced by TDKR Bane?

Yeah I liked the head strap, and thought it would translate well. The more I look at the more I see how much I was influenced by Kabal from Mortal Kombat also.

Thanks! Yeah, I realized the Deadshot similarity after I colored in the eye-piece. I just had this idea of him losing one of his eyes. Like he was getting hit with the chemicals and he crawled up to Nora's tank as he thought he was dying. He pressed his face against the glass to gaze upon her as he started to slip away and the eye that didn't look away was lost and he had all this wicked frostbite.

Hah, thanks. There are some obvious problems, starting with my scanner. There's nothing really Mr. Freeze about it either, but I said I was gonna' enter and didn't want to back out on my word. Plus, Larry serioulsy would make an awesome Freeze in some sketch comedy.

I love that concept, you clearly but a lot of thought behind your design. I take it the infrared eyepiece somehow helps him have some vision from that side?

I'm still planning on making a Freeze concept soon, but job hunting has kept me busy so I do apologize for not following up with the entry on time. However, I have an old Freeze concept of Fishburne as Mr. Freeze I made a couple of years ago if you wall want to see. Not an entry, but just like to show.

I was actually thinking about how Freeze could be done to better fit with Nolan's Batworld recently. The suit could be an environment exoskeleton that he would have used a repurposed to suit his needs. And instead of a freeze ray, I would replace it with a kind of suped up liquid nitrogen sprayer.

Similarly, Killer Crockett could be done without turning him into a mutant man lizard. Just a sick dude with a skin condition would work. Like he is in Azzarello's Joker. The groundwork for that was set up in Gotham Knight anyway. Which also set up Firefly decently IMO.
