Official Wii Friend Code Thread

So is the friend code thing as annoying as it is on the DS?

Hard to tell I guess since no online games have come out yet.

Do you have a friends list or something like that?
 
Okay. I got War Party's Mii. Heh. You can play with your friend's sent Miis in Wii Sports. I bowled a little with War Party's Mii. Also caught a Mii called Dewayne parading in the Mii Parade.

No, not at all. It still utilizes a friend code, but it's a universal one that's used for all online games and services.

Here's mine:

0090 0852 4129 4805

To register me, you go to the Wii Message Board Channel (which can be accessed by the bottom right hand button), and select "Create Message." Three icons will appear; select the one on the right, "Address Book." The rest is easy. It will prompt for a nickname so that you can identify who I am. I prefer "Brian," but TheGrayGhost is fine if you like.

Why don't you give me your friend code so you can test it out? It's really fun.

By the way, you can also choose to register e-mail addresses if your friends don't have a Wii, or cell-phone numbers, if you want to text them.

Why is this working for me? I've added you guys, and tested my Wi-Fi connection multiple times, yet I can't message anyone, nor do I see anyone in Mii Parade.:huh:

Sorry, I haven't added you yet. You can only send messages and Mii's if the other person added you. It has to work both ways.

Oh, okay, np. This info, combined with successfully exchanging messages w/ JustABill last night, is a great relief.

I've registered you, but my laptop is still being repaired so...

I don't know when I'll be able to actually get my Wii back to WiiConnect/Wii Shop.

How does your laptop help in accessing Wi-Fi? When do you think you'll have it fixed?

Oh, that's just the closest and best computer in the house is all. :o And I was using the little Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector.

I'll add you right away. It can take a few minutes for Nintendo to verify that both accounts have each other registered; it usually speeds along the process if you log onto the Wii Shop Channel via wireless connection. I'll send you a message and my Mii very soon.
