Mr. T comes on the show to give a brief apology and explanation concerning the latest Snicker's Commercial in which he’s featured shooting darts at a jogger with a machine gun. It was pulled off television in Britain, for offending many people of the Gay Community.

This thread isn’t to discuss the controversy itself, but the absolute hilarity of Mr. T in this video. You can tell Bill is enjoying Mr.T’s ramblings as well. He asks him one question, and he just goes on and on about himself...

Again, the thread is strictly for the comedy in Mr. T, let’s keep any comments directed towards the Homosexual ordeal out of this thread.

I just love how Bill is trying to have a serious discussion on the matter, and Mr. T just either rambles on about himself in his defense, or just completely brings up something irrelevant. And Bill’s face as Mr. T is rambling on is absolutely priceless, he knows that this discussion is going absolutely nowhere. Mr. T should definitely take up politics, I’d pay to see his speeches.

Now my question is, does he stay in character during his interviews, or is this how he actually acts?

I think the commercial is funny. It's not anti-gay but I can see how some would interpet it as such seeing as how gay men have to deal with not being considered by some to be "real men".

Mars has pulled a British TV ad for Snickers featuring the actor Mr T harassing a speed walker for being a "disgrace to the man race" after US complaints that it was offensive to gay people.

The US confectionery giant pulled the Snickers ad even though it was never shown on TV in the US - as happened last month with the Heinz Deli Mayo advert, which featured two men kissing.

The Snickers ad, made by the same agency as the Heinz commercial, AMV BBDO, features Mr T as BA Baracus, the character he played in The A-Team television series. It opens with Mr T crashing through a building on a flatbed truck mounted with a Snickers-firing machine gun. Mr T pulls alongside a man in tight yellow shorts who is speed walking and growls: "Speed walking. I pity you fool. You a disgrace to the man race. It's time to run like a real man." He then opens fire, peppering the man with Snickers bars and forcing him to break into a run.

In the UK the ad attracted two complaints, the Advertising Standards Authority said, and it did not investigate the commercial for a possible breach of the advertising code.

The first one of the two was early 2007. I thought I remembered seeing the second one around that time here in the UK. But who knows what's been tainted by perception and time, in my mind.

I prefer time travel over that, any day of the week though. :P
