Paramount Buys Ian Shorr Sci-Fi Spec ‘Infinite’

Mark Wahlberg was miscast as the lead. His confused face was giving me The Happening flashbacks.

I would of been more interested in watching Dylan O'Brien and Rupert Friend battle it out for the whole movie instead of Wahlberg and Ejiofor.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is a good actor but he is one of the actors that seems to take roles due to who is attached to the movie over the actual quality of the script. Ejiofor seems to land a number of weak supporting or villainous roles in these middle of the road big budget Hollywood flicks.

Ejiofor's villain is like Baron Mordo on yayo

I think I got more enjoyment spotting all the random British actors doing dodgy American accents. I spotted Hi Hatz from Attack The Block playing one of the gangster's goons and Liz Carr from BBC's Silent Witness.

Jason Mantzoukas is filling the typical wacky supporting character slot that they often have in these type of films now. Wallis Day is doing the generic henchwoman with minimal dialogue thing.

Gonna piggy back on what @KaijuDude1992 said here. It started off fine but it definitely got worse as it went along.

Some of the action set pieces were pretty cool and everything but I can easily see why Paramount decided to dump this on the new streaming service instead of risking the theatrical release.

I thought Walhberg was miscast as well but I'm not sure Chris Evans would have made this much better.

I went in with low expectations but I still expected to have more fun watching this then I did. Oh well.

This entire movies plot could be remedied by
Bathurst shooting one of those soul eating bullets into his own skull.

2/10
