In their continued effort to sever all ties with Tom Cruise, Paramount is apparently planning to move forward with the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE franchise with Angelina Jolie-impregnator himself Brad Pitt as head honcho IMF superagent managing a special ops team who create masks so advanced, they even manipulate a person's body type.

Paramount is so desperate to land Pitt, they're willing to shell out more money than any studio's ever given any actor ever (close to 40 million duckets) and if that doesn't seal the deal, they're willing to offer every

Paramount executives' first born child and a dowry of orphans to help supplement the Pitt-Jolie clan and ensure an African country's name gets at least a cursory mention on every page of the script. Of course, chances are this is a wildly outlandish rumor (and if it is true, there doesn't seem like a very high chance Pitt would take this role) but if isn't, what do you guys think about it?

Cruise owns some of that with his production company..its not going to happen.

Wow, I liked all three of the Mission Impossibles, It would be intresting seeing Brad as Agent Ethan Hunt.

I think Cruise is a jerk, but he's atleast a good actor, that alone puts him lightyears ahead of Pitt.

no it wouldn't..

The cruiser makes that part..the fact he puts everything into it..all his own stunts..pitt..wouldn't do that.

I wouldnt be suprised if Tom owned the Majority of the property that is Mission Impossible. So im thinking that this wont happen.

As much as Cruise owns that role, Pitt is an awesome guy. I'd be interested if Brad were to be the new M:I agent.

Wow Paramount is so bitter if this is true. Can't gracefully let your biggest star go?

eer wasnt Tom Cruise paid 40million(pre-sales %) for the last MI?
Thought I read about that being one of the reasons he was fired because the movie didnt make enough to justify his fat check.
Maybe someone here can find that article, it was linked in another Cruise/paramount thread a while ago...

I think Cruise made a deal that he got a certain percentage of the box office no matter what it made.

I read this in the paper yesterday. They said if Pitt takes it he's the highest paid star in Hollywood and he would be a different character (ie not ethan hunt). I think they should just let the franchise rest and isnt there the risk that brangelina could be as much of a distraction as Tomkat? (although less crazy..)

Let paramount sink themselves. the MI franchise is over. Without Tommy, Paramount aint nuthin'.

Pitt and Cruise are friends, i doubt Pitt would take it

Heheheh i haven't seen this on any other site but who knows,Pitt obviously needs a different character as he hasn't the energy to play Hunt but it could work i guess although i'd rather Pitt did Mr and Mrs Smith 2:woot:

I don´t think Pitt will be interested in doing a spy movie now that he has the Mr and Mrs Smith franchise along with his spouse, one that actually made quite a bit more dough than MI III.

Pitt and Cruise are both getting a little too old to be carrying on this franchise.
