Actually, Blastoise is one of the rarest cards in the original set of 150 pokemon, and also the third evolutionary form of Squirtle, and, in turn, Wartortle. This stage is difficult to achieve and nearly unbeatable except by it's weaknesses (lightning and plant types)

Seeing as squirtle is one of the three major starting pokemon (with charmander and bulbasaur) it is granted that it would be one of the stronger cards in the game.

What I DONT understand is how this single card could be so vital to a deck. He could have done nearly as well with a Dewgong or a Polywrath.:meow: :heart:

Maybe the names were born of their japanese/chinese (?) creators trying to pronounce their english names - hense the random weirdness.

Those two you mentioned were meant to be called Fluffy and Mr Boom! Doy!
