It's the synthetic butter flavoring people. And it's not in the eating, but in the breathing of the fumes generated when cooking that can cause lung disease. THEY NEVER MENTION CANCER.

So, buy the ones marked "natural butter" (check the FDA label), and quit whining about the findings.

I've had quite a few packets of that Microwaveable popcorn as well. Whilst watching T2 last night, I even burned it...and it smelt the whole house out.

Don't use MICROWAVE popcorn. Air popped is fine and REAL butter not the artificial kind. Then you'll be fine.
