i don't understand the love for these games... i keep trying to play kingdom hearts, i own it... but i just can't bring myself past the first little city you get to, and the terrible combat.

does it get better? because someone once told me that Jade Empire "gets better" and while it was a decent game, it definately wasn't worth playing through. the story was generic as all hell... it paled in comparison to knights of the old republic.

I loved KH1 but KH 2 just seemed so thrown together. the begining was so long and boring only to have that character disappear. The worlds were too short and bosses way too easy. It suffers from too many fmv's and not enough free gameplay. You are even locked in battles with normal heartless. And whats with Kari suddenly getting a keyblade? now everyone gets a keyblade?.
I finished the game in a few weeks and left terribly unsatisfied.

The new attacks are awesome and the graphics are beautiful but it didnt capture the magic of KH1 nor came even close.

Yeah, I still prefer the original too. The story is a lot better and it felt like a longer game. I played about 90-some hrs in the first game. In the second, I grew tired after 40. There was nothing to do but beat Sephiroth, level up, and do the stupid stuff in the journal. It's unfortunate I will not play KH3 for many years should it remain a PS3 exclusive.

I prefered the story from the first a lot more, but it was the only thing that kept me going, because the f***in camera and gameplay got to my nerves. as far as that goes, I prefer KH2.

Well,Roxas in the beginning is very important. I know it went on way too long,and when I started another game recently I had to skip through all of the cutscenes in the very beginning that never stopped. But his character gets more interesting at the end when he becomes part of the Organization. I never played KH1,so I can't compare,but I loved KH2. One of my favorites of recent memory.

echoing acouple of post. i do agree that the second one doesn't have the the full magic that captivated the first one so well. i mean i like the sesond one, it was a really good game. but it could of been better.

also i said this before & ill say it agian. is the music :, thats what was one of the special attributes to the first one that made the game so good. in the second game it looks & feels like, they just slapped it together without even thinking of composing a new track.

alot of the music is a rehash of the first one. i just wish they would of took time on the music & orchastrated it, alot better instead of just reuseing & changeing the same music tracks from the first one.

I really don't get the complaints about the camera in the first. It never really bothered me
