Firts, this tread is not to discuss if Reeves is better than Routh ...so you are bewildered.

And scond, Chris Reeve is timeless!!!! so there is not new or old, is good or bad, and for your information I love Brandon Routh, what I dont like is the way they made him look!! So if you have any nice image post it, but not came here looking to find someone to attack!

Well, Yes, it seems to be an discolored image, with not so good quality!!! but is very rare!

Here is a beautiful one, this publisity photos in new york, are the images that I like most of Reeve as Superman

Indeed, and if you compare the Reeve and Routh suit:

wich one looks like a Halloween costume, and wich one looks like Kryptonian technology?

So, Superman the movie was shot in New York?

Despite the "lower tech" look of the Reeve suit (fine for it's time though), I still prefer it over Routh's. Way too many design flaws in the SR suit. Not to mention the man behind the \S/ (Reeve) is the far superior SuperMAN!

How is it that Kryptonians can invent super-polyester but can't accurately predict the collapse of a star or put landing gear on their spaceships? For all Jor-El’s giant head talk, it seems Kryptonian-intelligence is limited to the textile industry, pfft!

For those of you too young to remember, those NYC shots of Chris Reeve were the first to introduce us to the upcoming "STM". I seem to remember 3 or so shots taken from the New Jersey side showing the NYC background and two rooftop shots. What a contrast between these compelling shots of Reeve and those first-seen shots of Routh. Night and day.

Superman: THE Movie, was shot in 3 different continents..to an astounding budget of $55 millions...

and is still THE best Superman movie to date...

thanx Sebastian for this incredible pics....

It looks like a poloroid with the onbaord flash that came with the cameras of the day. Also looks like the person who took it didn't coat it with that gel that Kodak shot stills needed to be coated with to kep it looking good. It is just faded becaue of that.

Yep. I remember when these first shots came out. Everyone was like "whoa"

They didn't invent Super Polyester. The clothing from Krypton would have the same structural strength as Kryptonians on Superman. On Krypton it would tear as easily as polyester here. If it was torn on or near Krypton, and he didnt fix it, the tear would be unfixable on our planet.

I understand that... but how could you have missed the sarcasm in my post?

He was so perfect as Superman. I wasn't alive at the time, but I really hope Fans appreciated having an actor so good completely embody the role of the World's greatest hero...As for the suit.."The Man makes the Suit.." not the othe way around, and Chris was a perfect example of that..

Anyone else thinks Chris looks like Doctor Cox/John McGinley?

now that looks colored...

I would like to se the unrestored version of that pic.
