possibly true....suppossedly (again,SUPPOSSEDLY) ,Hot Toys is set to soon announce that they've aquired the master licence to produce DC movie figures, meaning not only future films like GL,but also past films (since all are under the WB umbrella) like the Reeve Superman films,as well as the original 4 Batman movies!

now,if true,Nicholson COULD still be a problem,as i believe he still retains likeness rights ,but i'm pretty damned positive nobody else (sans Ahnuld) does, meaning we could probably get

Keaton Batman
Kilmer Batman
Robin
Penguin
Catwoman
Two-Face
Riddler
Poison Ivy
Bane
..and,hell,Ahnuld seems to be letting everyone make figures with his likeness anymore,so i'm sure Mr. Freeze would be no problem either...

like i said, just a huge RUMOR at the moment...but if officially announced...WOW! :wow:

That would be nice... except my wallet would probably commit suicide.

Yea, its ridiculous, hot toys should slow down just a tad bit. not that its a bad thing, just.. if they keep moving figures out like this, alot of people are gonna end up missing a lot of figures due to budget restraints, and rarity over time.
I mean how Easy is a recently released Begins batman to get? and it didn't even come out that long ago.

I could imagine what the burton/shumacher verse would do though, would be crazzzy

I've been preaching this since they put out their first Batman figures. I hope it's true. Where did you hear this from?

well,you figure :

Keaton Batman - 2 versions ( '89 and Returns)
Kilmer Batman - 2 versions (regular and Sonar)
Clooney Batman - 2 versions (regular and armored)
Robin - 3 versions (green/red and B & R regular and armored)

and that's before you even get to the villians!

Two-Face had 2 outfits
Riddler had 3 (though he could wear the green longjohns, and put the coat and hat over it)
Poison Ivy had too many....
Joker had at least 2 (plus a possible Jack Napier figure)

Freeze,i could see being a DX figure, with light up removable armor...and maybe his diamond studded robe and slippers! :woot:

guy who is suppossedly an insider at HT...he also posted pics of some of their Mars Attacks,Matrix,UP!,and Alien new stuff before anyone else,so it' possible he's in the thick of it....also mentioned that HT is also suppossed to have the Master licence for Marvel films as well...

This would be interesting, if its true. I thought, however, Mattel was awarded the master lisence for these, thus their "supposed" Movie Master line. Remember? When they "said" that there "may" be figures based on the past movies?

I would buy every figure (except those from Batman & Robin). I'd get both Riddlers, Both Kilmer Batman's, Robin, Two-Face, and of course Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman.

HT is probably for the 1/6 scale, along with busts....Mattel has everything else...

My heart is saying yes, and my wallet is screaming NOOOO!! :funny:

In any case, if this is true, the Keaton and Nicholson toys will be mine. It'd be an awesome pairing with the HT Bale/Ledger models.

Keaton Batman
Kilmer Batman
Robin
Penguin
Catwoman
Two-Face
Riddler
Poison Ivy
Bane

Out of all of these Id only take...
Keaton Batman
Penguin
Catwoman
Riddler
Joker maybe Im happy with all the Jokers I have already from Hottoys still have one more to come too...

even if they do officially announce the licence...just found out from someone i truly trust, who works in and around the whole Hollywood business, and has also owned a toy company in the past, that most likely HT will have to negotiate with each actor to get likeness rights and approvals....apparently,when signing over their rights for a movie, yes in most cases the actor has no say in what their likeness is used for...HOWEVER,most of those agreements (especially older ones) last from 2 to 4 years (due to the belief that ,at most,4 years would be the longest potential lifespan for any movie toyline)....

there are exceptions for this, like Star Wars, but i'm now very much under the impression that we won't get that Keaton Batman,or DeVito Penguin unless the actor's sign off for it...

Nicholson,i was pretty much told to forget it...he holds strict rights to his likeness for everything, and he never signs off...he wouldn't 20 years ago when 'Batman' first came out....he sure doesn't need the money now,so it's unlikely he can be coerced into it....might become a Brando/Reeve situation where we,unfortunately, have to wait for the actor to die,and the estate to start making deals to keep money coming in...

this could also explain why we're getting so many Ledger Joker's in like a year and a halfs time : they want to get them out while the likeness rights are still included under the film licence, instead of having to try and get them from the family and estate...

Well, if this were to happen I'd suffer an appalling geekgasm.

Both Keaton batsuits would be must-haves. along with Nicholson Joker, Catwoman and Penguin... And then you start to imagine... a Max Schreck? Would the Penguin come with missile-armed Penguins? A Batman '89 Batmobile?

Frankly, having considered it I need a sit down...

(although I'd take an Oldman Lt. Gordon before the above...)

Hi everybody,
I'm new to here and I'm also a big Batman Movie fan. I've tried to get
all 12" Batman figures from all the movies and hoping that HT will
get the licenses for the 89, Returns, Forever and B & R. Since no news
from HT yet, I'll be getting the Forever + B & R figures here :-

Anyone interested please sign up and we'll ask the maker to lower
the px for our group purchase. Thanks and hope you guys like it.

I'd be definitely interested in a Keaton Batman <3... Not so much a George Clooney lmao. Don't get me wrong... he is a terrific actor... but Batman & Robin... *mumbles*

Regardless of whether the movie stunk or not, I will say this, I thought Clooney made an excellent LOOKING Batman. I wouldn't hesitate about buying a nicely done figure of him.

Sorry, I don't buy unlicensed stuff.

Sheesh, Hot Toys is killing me. First with all the TDK and Iron Man movies. Then they get Spidey and X-Men. Plus I'd imagine Green Lantern and Captain America will come after each movie.

Yet with my wallet crying, there is no way I'd pass up on this. An Jack Joker, Michelle Cats and 89 Keaton Bats are dream figures of mine!!! Still seems too good to be. Especially Jack giving his likeness.

I hope this is all true. As for Nicholson, the guy's a clown. I mean really, give it a rest for the love of god. It's been 20 years.

Any updated news ??
I think if HT really got the license they will even produce the
89 Batmobile........then many of us will go crazy:grin:

I take that back, even tho I hate Batman and Robin. I might buy a Arnold Mr. Freeze if they made one, it would be cool.

still no news...though,to be fair, they haven't really said much about the Marvel movie licences they got,either...

either they're waiting til things calm down a bit (they have a TON of stuff coming out)....or they're waiting for a specific reason (i.e. an event...or waiting til they obtain all the likenesses they want to get,or can get)....
