Los Angeles Times said:
LOS ANGELES (March 19) -- In compliance with the continuous update of records, california corrections officials have released a new photograph of convicted mass murderer Charles Manson, who is now bald with a thick gray beard:

In the summer of 1969, aspiring musician and cult leader Charles Manson directed his "family" of followers to commit a series of grisly murders. Thursday, California officials released a new photo of Manson, 74, who is currently at Corcoran State Prison. The photo of the 74-year-old Manson was taken Wednesday as part of a routine update of files on inmates at Corcoran State Prison, where he is serving a life sentence for conspiring to murder seven people, said Seth Unger, spokesman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The cult leader was first sentenced to death for the 1969 murders of movie star Sharon Tate, coffee heiress Abigail Folger and three others stabbed and shot to death at Tate's home in Los Angeles. The next night, two others were stabbed to death at their homes.

The image — complete with a swastika carved into Manson's forehead — was released to the Los Angeles Times because the newspaper requested a copy the next time it was taken.

Manson's co-defendants — Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, Patricia Krenwinkel and Charles "Tex" Watson — were convicted with him. Their death sentences were commuted to life when the death penalty was briefly outlawed in America in 1972.

Felt that putting this in the celebrities thread might be in bad taste...but move or delete this as necessary.

But wow...that's what 40 years in the can will do to you :o

What's that? Tears in his eyes...awww...SUCK IT UP A-hole

His eyes are still a soulless black.

whats scary is ive seen a guy who looks like that working as a janitor in my college minus the imprint on his head

Exactly! Apart from the black eyes and swastika, he looks like your generic, cranky, old man.
The eyes and the sawstika alone make him look like a bad-ass supervillian -the type that every hero has wet dreams about capturing.

Wow... apart from the swastika, it barely even looks like Manson. In fact, I'm questioning the photos legitimacy.

Manson should've gotten the death penalty instead of a life sentence for his crime.

You guys do realize that Manson didn't actually kill anyone?

Also, "torture for life"? Very humane. :whatever:

I'm glad you don't run any countries you savage thug.

Because what he did was so much better :whatever:

Well, Hilter didn't "kill" anyone either, but ordering the death of many is just as guilty as the ones who pulled the trigger.

Manson didn't commit crimes against humanity (genocide) the way Hitler did. You guys are thinking romantically, not legally or logically.

Also, he was clearly insane. We don't execute the insane.

But we should.

Why should we execute those who can't differentiate right from wrong? I'm really glad people like you don't make laws.

im glad you dont either, you would end up releasing the insane to the innocent people

We should execute everyone. People suck. Seriously though, yeah, Manson's responsible for the killings, but just being insane and convincing doesn't warrant an execution.

Oh, ********. Insanity is a legal term. Manson aint insane, he was just an angry drugged out little dude. Execute him, give him a life term, feed him to a pack of wolves... see if I care.
