PS2 Wiimote like peripheral on the way?

In an interview with Gamasutra, Sony Worldwide Studio's Phil Harrison mentioned that a new PS2 controller will be coming in future, along the lines of the Buzz and EyeToy peripherals. The new controller will connect through the USB port and give unique experience.

It's hardly desperation. Cutting into the Wii momentum with your own product is a good idea. Sometimes you come out with the most bat**** anti Sony posts, I wonder if you bought a PS3 for any other reason then to validate your trolling.
