PS3 not reading discs.

Seriously?! My PS3 won't play any discs! Blu-ray, PS3 games, PS2 games, PS games, CDs, DVDs...it turns on normally and everything, but as soon as I put a disc in, the loading circle in the upper corner of the screen loads nonestop. What is wrong with it and more importantly, how can I fix it?

it could be the dust inside your PS3, the dust is covering the infer red laser
i suggest you buy a lens cleaner, the same thing happen to my PS2 (hopefully it hasnt happen to my PS3)

So a disc that has the little brushes on it can be used on a PS3? Since his
PS3 can't read other discs then how is it supposed to read a cleaning disc?

yea it should, and the cleaning disc works on my PS2 where i couldnt play my PS2 games, dvd's, and music cds.

Do not use a DVD disc cleaner. Use this.

I'm afraid that you may have to contact Sony for your issue though. It may cost $150 to get it fixed.

Edit: Do you have the latest firmware?
