There's a minor question I want to ask people about season 3 predictions: do you think that this will be a mostly standalone season, or do you think it will be akin to Captain America: Civil War where the show focuses on Matt but also heavily features the protagonists from the other shows?

I say this in part because Frank Castle's a big wildcard in the situation. In season 2, he had promised to take Fisk down if he ever gets out of prison. Not to mention the issue of Karen since Frank is protective or her as much as Matt is, given the way Frank flipped out when Lewis went after Karen. So he probably wouldn't stand idly by when Fisk goes after Karen. So Frank having a 2-3 episode arc to bridge things between the two seasons of his own show might be on the table.

That said, whether Frank shows up or not depends which way they go with the story. There might be a logical place for Frank to be in Daredevil season 3, but I don't want them to be shoving him in for the sake of fanservice. I think that Frank probably entered another state of "retirement" now that he's avenged his family.

And then there's the issue of Danny Rand. Matt passing his watch over Hell's Kitchen to Danny is a big deal. Although this might be touched on in Luke Cage season 2 since Danny is showing up there.

I'm not against those people possibly showing up, but this season should be purely about the struggles of Matt and his friends with minimal assistance from other vigilantes.

I think other vigilantes could feature but not necessarily the main ones from The Defenders.
