God, for the first time in my life I'm feeling anger against youngster's disrespect. :cmad:

I swore so many times taht would never happen. :csad:
:funny:

I agree with you, not only do I love Superman I & II, they are among my favorite superhero movies
BTW, I like the third movie co-starring Richard Pryor, though it's problematic

..I don't like Superman.. so I don't buy his movies..

:/

I'll rent Man of Steel when it comes out on DVD though.

For me its easily:

1) ASM - 9/10
2) SM2 - 8/10
3) SM1 - 7.5/10
4) SM3 - 6/10

Also, I rank ASM #2 of all the Marvel CBMs (I'm counting all Marvel characters, not just Marvel Studio films).

Don't remember if I ranked them, but:

1) ASM - 9/10 (wish for the Extended Cut)
2) SM3 - 8.5/10
3) SM - 8/10
4) SM2 - 7/10

Uh.. did you really rank Spider-Man 3 above both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2?

o.o

Of course I did, SM3 has faults, but nowhere near as bad as people make it to be, the biggest missteps in that movie are Spider-Man forgetting how much he was loved before being worshipped in SM3, and saying he was bashed, then there is the thing with him ripping his costume to shreds when he could just store it in the trunks again. And oh yeah, since I complained about SM2 showing SM punching Octavius with his normal human strength level in the face and Ock takes it, the people at the bar punched by symbiote Spider-Man -at least MJ- not fainting after the punch, but it was still handeled better than Ock punched 13 times in the face
And I see how cringeworthy the butler scene can be, that scene is understandable, but till here ends the acceptable reasons to be disappointed in SM3

Lots of the stuff people complain about were unleashed strongly and easily accessible to everyone, but for some odd reason they were made a reason to complain about after watching the movie, I found them fun before and after the movie, found more fun within the movie, and saw that I hated it initially for reasons obviously existing in both two movies before it and I accepted them there (Peter crying, and the costume is shown less than Peter is)

As for SM2:
Ock is ridiculous in live action, even in a cheesy fantasy movie, at least keep a reliable sense of realism to side with it. A guy who can hold a heavy wall punches a guy vs super strong tentacles and normal human physique, no strength nor powers is not good in a movie when he gets electrocuted, punched in the face so many times, lifts all this heavy weight...Spectacular Spider-Man actually wrote Ock miles better than the overrated SM2

Not to forget how silly Spidey losing his powers is cause he sulks too much, MJ is the worst most demanding and most b****ing in this movie, but they call her a major pain in the nuggings in SM3 where she is actually a human being to like, has some faults, they can be viewed pretty big, but lots of good moments and character thrown out the window by movie viewers
------------------------------------------------

Bottom line, I'm sticking to the line "SM2 is the bottom of the barrel of SM films", game is awesome, but the movie is the poorest written Spider-Man film, it's absurdly revered with overlooked faults

My cinema (along with myself) were cracking up during SM3, I was entertained, it was ony when I left the cinema and the diappointment sunk in about the potential they wasted with the black symbiote suit.

There was potential to do more, but the story was shoehorned on a director who hates Venom, and it came out the way it happened
Still the best Venom

Avi is completely to blame. They could have made Sam close out the movie his way with Sandman Vulture and GG2 which would have been better as they would have to shoehorn so many plot threads and then when they rebooted the franchise they could have laid the ground work for the cancer suit black symbiote. Technically they can still do this but it will have less of an impact as the audience has seen it already.

That's what happens when you have a producer who wants to appease the fans.

If you want to make a good movie, ignore the fans.
If a movie is good the fans will love it regardless of who the villian is and if a movie is bad the fans will hate it regardless of who the villian is.
I would rather see a good movie with the Kangeroo (lame Spidey villian) than a lame movie with GG or Doc Ock.

Okay, Raimi didn't like Venom and they forced him. Ok. But someone really forced him to include the streetdancing, the emo hair or the kitchen twist?

Because if you say so, I might start believing it. But I have problems imagining Arad saying "So, in this part they dance. Yes, in the kitchen. A twist. And don't give me that look, Sammy, Harry and Mary Jane will dance a twist and the audience will love it!"

I actually liked that scene.

With just GG2 and no one else they could have had Harry use his money to destroy Peter in sprit and then Destroy him in body with a battle.

But they added the complication of Sandman and a daughter sub plot that goes nowhere and if that wasn't complicated enough they introduce the Spidey villian with THE most complex backstory.

I bet Avi is still scratching his head wondering how it went wrong.

The scene prooved Peter and MJ belong together. They both dance terribly.
It's actually a dance movie about learning to step up for your friends, but they decided to make it a Spider-Man movie so it will sell better

This movie was definitely on par with The Avengers but I don't feel it was as good as The Dark Knight, which is up to date (to me) the perfect superhero movie. And I'm not saying that because I'm a Joker fan or something, in fact he's not even my favorite Batman villain. I was just invested with every character and I was feeling the movie so well that it almost felt like it was all real

As I think that TASM is on the same level as BB, I have hopes for TASM 2 being as good as TDK. Unlikely, but I have my hopes

That scene woke me up. While watching it, I wished that Harry and MJ would have run off together and started a new movie. It had more energy and charisma than the entirety of SM3.
