oh brother:whatever:
Iron spidey and Spidey Unlimited kick @$$ and the live action TV show is just the regular spidey suit but with the belt and web shooters on the outside.

Heres my list(and I think all of these look cool)

Sorry. I have nothing good to say about a suit that makes him look like Iron Man's sidekick, or one that includes a cape. And the reasons why I trash the Nick Hammond version are the following:
the SINGLE webshooter, which was ridiculously bulky & included a huge trigger which he never even pressed.
The equally cumbersome utility belt, which served no purpose that I can see, as I never once saw him put anything into or pull anything out of it.
The round, metallic-looking lenses.
The gloves, which were separate from the suit & had visible zippers.
The shiny, vinyl boots.
No, it is not the comics suit by a long shot.

I said t was bassically almost the same asides form the web shooter and belt. and so waht if the suit makes him look like iron man's side kick? aafter all Iron man made the suit and technically spidey was his side kick for a short time. and is the cape really the only thing u ahve against the Unlimited outfit? big deal so what he has a cape, jusdt over look that. thats like someone saying they don't like the red and blue movie suit because the back spider isn't the same as the comics.

The others are too ugly to mention.

No. It's not JUST the fact that he looks like a sidekick or JUST that he has a cape. The suits are both hideous, IMO. I don't like the color scheme in the Sidekick suit. I don't like what was done to the symbol for either of them. I don't like the patterning or anything about them at all. They don't say "Spider-Man" to me. Armored suits & suits made of nanobots are for tech heroes like Iron Man or X-O Manofwaf; not Spidey.
And that is a horrible analogy. There's a big difference between a slight design modification (and an improvement IMO; in the movies his back emblem actually LOOKS like a spider, rather than a crab) and a pointless accessory that totally conflicts with the character. Spider-Man does not wear a cape. Period. It would actually be a liability to him, given his fighting style & the way he moves.

oh come on whats wrong with spidey having high tech suits? the guy is a genius, why shouldn't he be able to create and wear a high tech suit like the Unlimited suit or the Iron suit? and since when has spidey ever had a costume where the elmbom loked like a crab? i can clearely see that it is a spider on the Iron and Unlimited suit. and obvioulsy the cape doesn't conflict with spidey's style if he put the cape on their and is freely able to do what he does best as demonstarted in the comic and cartoon series.

this costume really screams "spidey"
it's red and vlue like the orginal suit, has a cool spider elbom on the front and back. the cape is a web design like the classic under arm webbing, there are even spiders o the cloves.

What's wrong with him having high tech suits? HE AIN'T GOT NO MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It takes money & resources to build these things. Plus, high-tech suits are geneerally the province of people who DON'T have super powers. He was doing fine without armor & nanobots for years. And I don't like the idea of him stealing tech or being given a suit as a gift. And as for the crab-looking back emblem, I was referring to his classic suit. The cape just doesn't work for me, regardless of the style or pattern. He's never worn one before & it serves no purpose.
Look, you like the suits. I don't. I never did & I never will. Let's just leave it at that.

I forgot about these monstrosities.

I've been looking for a pic of this suit JRJR came up with, which was basically a mask, jacket & pants. I believe he wore it at the beginning of Amazing # 500.

ok but one last thing and then i promise to end the conversation. does he really need money fo such high tech stuff? i mean when he was freakin' 15 he made the web shooters! and uspposedly in one version of his origin he made the costume.
but whatever..

Yes, he was 15 when he made the web shooters. And keeping them loaded was kicking his @$$ financially. And as far as I know, he made his costume in ALL versions of his origin, but it's just a matter of silk-screening some tights. It's not like it's got spring-loaded gadgets all over it. A fancy, elaborate hi-tech suit is SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive than any of his staple equipment. To say that it would be plausible for him to have one would be like saying he should have an elaborate computer system in his apartment like on "Amazing Friends", and a Spider-Copter & a giant Spider-Bot while we're at it; one of his charms has always been the fact that he doesn't have Bruce Wayne money. And without it, he can't have Bruce Wayne tech. It's that simple.
Though to be fair, I'm not a fan of tech suits in general. I hated the swarm of armors that came about in the 90's. I was glad to see all of them go.

The Sidekick Suit seems to have a lot of defenders on this thread.

It was hideous. The black lenses look sinister, the symbol is all wrong, (it looks like an upside-down exclamation point) there was no back symbol, too much black/not enough red, & the webshooters(?) were too remniscent of the Nicholas Hammond disaster.

Yeah, i dont know WHAT Ross was thinking when he came up with that. Did he REALLY consider it an improvement on Steve Ditko's original?

I don't know. I'm not among the people who think Ross' poop doesn't stink. I love his stuff overall, but I don't agree with him all the time. This was clearly a case of him just getting it wrong. And then he turned around & publicly criticized the design they did use, calling the raised webbing "overthought". Personally I felt like he was just hating.

Agreed.

And then he trashed "Spider-Man 2" after its release, effectively nullifying his chances of ever being involved in a film again.

Slightly off topic, but Ross's Goblin costume for the first movie wasnt anything great either.
