Reed Richards" "don't Make Me Beg."????

Dude, this is kind of funny in it's own sad way.

Yes, im always ashamed at myself for getting into these arguments.

Dude, man's man is like the Bounty paper towel man, reed has always been nerdy science geek. A couple of exceptions doesnt make him a man's man. Thats like syainf Wolverine is a romantic because he hits on chicks all the time. Flawed logic. And dude, dont even start on me with that childish ****, im like half your age and show twice the maturity you do. Fact.

Also, you can have credentials, you cant be one.

EDIT: And when exactly was he a war veteran, being a military scientist doesnt make you a war veteran.

I agree--he's been able to kick some ass when pushed to that option, but he's primarily a scientist first.

Yup, im not denying hes had his moments where hes steps up and shows off his testicular fortitude, but lets not make him freaking Rambo.

Correction: Its the Brawny paper towel man, not Bounty.

He fought in the Secret Wars. :)

Is that why you follow me all over this board??

A couple of exceptions?? How about over 40 years of characterization???

The only arguments you should be ashamed of getting into, are the ones where you care about them to a heavy degree.

Alright, I've had enough.

Reed is NOT just some muscle headed bufoon. In fact, that's the LURE of his character, that he DOESN'T have to go out and smash things that don't go his way. He actually sits back and THINKS about stuff, and enjoys non-violence.

If you WANT him to be some gung ho person, go check out Thor in every book but his own, and put pictures of Reed over Thor.

But don't go around making Reed into something he's not.

Oh Celldog, how dumb are thee. No, celldog, I dont follow you around everywhere, we just happen to post in the same places as each other. So no celldog, its not about you, at all. As you can see, I post far more often than you in several forums, running into each other is inevitable, especially in Community and the Comic Book forums which are the ones I frequent the most often. So, if youre delusional eough to believe that crap that I follow you around, continue to do so, its simply, not the case.

Agreed.^

An example of people following other people lies in the form of Whirlysplat.

You are the "female" version of Darth. It's either feast or famine with you two. Not once did you hear me say any of the silly things you just mentioned. Never said I wanted to take Reed to an extreme of beating up people with wanton violence. But I also don't like the extreme in the other direction that they currently have him in!! A wuss! Even his wife left him because of this!! Those picture don't lie. He was a balanced character. Brainy yet brave. Smart and strong. Thoughtful but a risk taker.

You can disagree. But there are tons of back issues that you are arguing with.

Keep believing that.

I see your posts and go the other way. You can't help yourself.

Anyone need anymore proof that Reed Richards is waaaaaaaaaaay out of character in this Civil War????

I just read the new "Frontline" and I was floored! He's totally spineless now!! This guy was the leader of the Fantastic Four!! He let's Hill chop off what's left of his manhood!! He's actually begging her to let him study Baldwin's body a little longer. He even gives in to the inhumane treatment that Hill is prescribing!!! What is going on here????? And just look at his helpless, milksop, body language!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAgghh!!!! :cmad:
WHERE IS REED RICHARDS!!??

Anybody remember that guy??????? He was a man's man!! Rugged and smart! He had principles and back bone!! :cmad:

Are you kidding me?

"don't make me beg" is just an expression used in friendly conversation to let the other person know you feel passionate about something.

Do you even read the comics you reference? Sue didnt leave him because he was a "wuss" She left ebcause she disagreed with what he was doing. There was nothing about him being a wuss involved. Being brave and a man's man are two different things. Is he brave? Sure I can agree with that, but youre making him into Rambo which he's not.

If this is true, why did you respond to this post and my next one? Hypocrite much?:o

Heres the page in question. read, enjoy, and laugh at Celldog.

Given in another context, I could agree. But looking at his body language and look of helplessness, I don't feel that way.

You make it sound like tons of text to argue would be something to intimidate me. Far from it. Usually is the weakness behind anybody and everybody who uses that one.

Now, I'm going to say it straight out. I do not like you. Not one bit, not a smidgeon, not a sliver, not a speck. Compare me to Darth? Fine, I do not really care. Hell, doubt my gender like you just did. But if you're going to want to lock horns in an argument with me, you'll need more than just, "Well, you're just like so and so because you're so negative." I usually put up with people and their half arguments, and usually show how frustrated I get when it's the same dribble, half thought out bull that this argument is definitely going to become. Hell, it showed REALLY well when I was arguing with people in the Civil War thread.

Here's where I'm going to shut this down.

You stated just how tough, just how macho, and so much of a "man's man" Reed is. Because he battles, because he yells, because he's (in your little pictures) so much of a tough guy, apparently. You think his name should strike fear and respect for these reasons. Keep in mind, reading over all your posts in this thread, this is a logical derivative of your arguments.

NOT ONCE, have you made a mention of his brain power, how he normally solves problems. Hell, better yet, how he MAINLY solves problems.

You simply say that he just basically does whatever it is that he does with massive amounts of bravado. You do not include compassion, you do NOT include who Reed is outside of his masculinity, and masculinity is the LEAST of who he is.

So, if you want to show all this stuff you keep saying he is, you're going to have to show me HOW you're going to incorporate it as his main point in his life.

If you can't, then please, don't bother.
