Hugh Jackman's Gary Hart Pic 'The Front Runner' Relocates to Election Day

The studio on Wednesday announced it is moving the film's opening by one day, from Wednesday, Nov. 7, to Tuesday, Nov. 6, of this year, which just happens to be Election Day. Following its debut in New York and Los Angeles, the movie will expand on Nov. 16 and again on Nov. 21.

It will be interesting to see how the filmmakers and audiences react (though I'm not really surprised that Jackman would play him sympathetically)-a politician's private life kind of does matter, at least in some cases, and yet it really, really doesn't/shouldn't matter compared to most other issues.

It is interesting, now, if a movie would portray newsmedia negatively, as the enemy or at least harmful in its effects if not its intention.

The marketing for this film confuses me.
They seem to be trying to say that Gary Hart and what happened to him was the first time a political campaign was ruined by a sex scandal. through the media.
That cant be right.
And even if that is true, I am not sure if that is the hook that you want for your movie.
