Okay, I don't know if any of you are aware, but I'm a serious Trekkie. And as such, I've been collecting the TNG series on DVD (the pricing on those suckers is FINALLY coming down). One of the saddest moments in ST:TNG history was the death of blonde bombshell Tasha Yar--the Enterprise's chief of security. Now let's be clear: This girl was phine as hell...I mean, dayum. Tall, stacked, curvaceous and dripping with sex appeal. Plus she kicked serious ass in a beautiful way. All of the other male characters lusted for her--even the android Data. In fact, a African-looking alien King sought her to be his warrior Queen--and it was at that point that I realized I wanted to grow up and marry a blonde white woman. Who was hot.

Anyway, I distinctly remember being so pissed when they killed her off in season one. She died at the hands of some black turd thing.

Does anyone else out there remember this character? And was anyone else PISSED when they took Denise Crosby off the show? I know she's been dead since like...1988 but dammit--mourn with me anyways!

Denise Crosby was the one who wanted off the show. They didn't fire her. She quit.

If the show is set in the 24th century, they'd at least have better dye jobs for hair

she had to die to get the lead role in the best episode of the series

She became a villain later on and also came back on in an alternate timeline. I never really cared for her and preferred Worf as security chief.
