Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper are attached to star in an untitled original action comedy written by Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air).

Risky Business says the film "follows two friends, who are also San Francisco cops, whose fathers were once partners on the police force. The older generation is forced out of retirement to help their sons crack a case, with typically antagonistic results."

Neal Moritz, Andrew Panay and Reynolds' Dark Trick Films partner Jonathon Komack Martin are producing along with J.C. Spink and Chris Bender of Benderspink.

Panay and Turner first developed the pitch, then called "Blowback," five years ago with Dwayne Johnson attached to one of the roles.

De Niro and Pacino as their Dads! :D

Sounds like a unique buddy cop movie. Well so far they at least got two great leads, Reynolds and Cooper will have a great chemistry between them and I can't wait to see who they will cast as the fathers.

Oh, hell yes. One Green Lantern and an almost Green Lantern. Weird but cool! Should be fun hopefully.

I hope Reynolds enlists him for Ollie come Green Arrow time.

Nevertheless, this movie sounds sweet. I want to know who they find to play their dads. Corbin Berson and Bruce Willis as Cooper and Reynolds dads respectively. They'd have to be a bit young though (like 20, 21 when they had them) but I suppose the numbers could be fudged for the movie.

Sounds like fun and I agree HR, if Pacino and De Niro played their dads, that would be flippin' awesome!

If DeNiro was to do this, I'd rather it be with Pacino than with a bunch of Fockers.
