Except the movie is actually getting some good buzz, meaning Franco is currently alone in ripping on the work of his co-stars and crew. It's a d*ck move.

I would bet this lands in the 50s on RT and has a 45 million opening weekend.

I think if it got in the 50s on RT then that would be a pretty successful considering what we all thought it was going to be.

no way it'll get 45mil ow. i'm gonna go with like 20m. finish under 100m total domestic. lowball 65m total domestic take.

Well, usually the best actors are the ones who are brutally honest regarding movies they do, along with the writing, directors, or other cast members.

Strongly disagree. I think that it'll be at around 65-70% by the time the critics are done criticizing the *****ake mushrooms out of this.

Good start on RT.

Not going to lie, I thought the film looked like crap. But if the WOM is good, I'll give it a chance.

good for the movie. but apparently the movie didnt turn out being what franco expected it to be when he signed on and he was disappointed in that. cant blame him.

I doubt Franco has even seen the finished film until yesterday at the premiere. He's talking about on set changes with the script not the actual final product.

Well, his badmouthing isn't really causing too much damage considering the stuff he still has lined up. Oz being the biggest.

It doesn't matter if he is disappointed or not not. One shouldn't go around trashing other peoples work. He is just one part of the puzzle.

It looks good from the trailers, I might see this in the theater. Already seeing TV spots for it.

I think this Looks promising. The more I see the TV spots, the more I'm getting interested.

Cowboys & Aliens got 36 million opening weekend. I think the GA will like this movie better. I think tracking sites have it at around 40 opening weekend.

Got passes for a screening in NYC tomorrow at 7. Wasn't particularly excited for this, but a free movie is a free movie.

Maybe I'll be surprised. I'll have a review incoming.

I'm really looking forward to this. It's kind of odd that I've only seen the Burton remake and none of the original films.

Lol, I'll probably do it after this weekend. There's actually a sale on the blu ray collection right now on Amazon. Are they all good?

I like them although there are some continuity issues between the first two and the last three. The last one they did, Battle for the Planet of the Apes kind of shows its lower budget a little. It was 20th Century Fox' main Sci-Fi film series until Star Wars came along and the rest is history.

The new movie is a reboot, and is not tied to the original films, the TV series, the animated show or the Burton remake. They're all worth watching especially if you're like me and love anything Sci-Fi with primates.

I really think it would be a classy and nice touch if the new film paid tribute somehow to Roddy McDowall.

I am very surprised at the good write ups this movie is getting, I didnt like the look of it anyway, and after Franco's comments, I pretty much gave up on it, but the good reviews so far are starting to make me want to see it.
