I'd rather a legacy sequel too. New set of kids but also bringing back Hartnett, Wood, Brewster, etc. Maybe if the original had been more of a hit they might have gone that route. It seemed to have gotten more love over the years but they inexplicably gave it a Christmas Day release when it came out.
