Robert Rodriguez is a pretty divisive filmmaker. I think we can all agree then when the man's good he's on fire but on the other hand the definition of good Robert Rodriguez varies incredibly from person to person. Regardless of your standing on the man he's a talented and imagination filmmaker with a real talent for stretching dollars.
So what's his next project?
His last film was Sin City 2 and since then he's been working on the Dusk 'till Dawn TV series. I wouldn't mind this so much except the man has accumulated no less then five potential film projects:
A live action remake of 'Fire & Ice'. :woot:
A Johnny Quest movie. :yay:
A Battle Angel Alita film produced by James Cameron. :woot:
Sin City 3.
Machete Kills in Space. :csad:
I admit those last two aren't terribly exciting but the other three are all very good potential projects. The frustrating thing is that Rodriguez has talked about each of these projects as if they are his immediate priority with no clue as to which one he's going to do first.
What do you think? Which one of these projects (or other that you may have heard of) should Rodriguez do next?

Yeah, it has been pretty frustrating how he's been announcing one project and then announces another one relatively not too long after he'd announced the previous one. Battle Angel Alita was recently announced, but nothing further has been said about Fire and Ice, Machete Kills In Space and Jonny Quest. I think he should do Fire and Ice first, as it's been one that's been on the plate the longest(since 2010). At the same time, if he does Battle Angel first, I guess I can understand, seeing as to how his recent Sin City:ADTKF and Machete Kills(not to mention the last Spy Kids film) performed. With James Cameron's name attached, Robert might have a bit of a more guaranteed success here.

He was promising Madman (one of my favorite superheroes) for years...but I doubt that will ever get made.

He's also been teasing Jonny Quest, Fire and Ice, and a Machete in Space as his next projects, so,....

He's worse than Del Toro when it comes to sticking with projects. To this day, I'm still shocked that Sin City 2 was even made.

It could be his $7000 dollar film. Or something to do with Zorro I'd been hearing about.

It could be that $7000 film, now that you mention it. As for the new Zorro film, he's not involved in that one.

Also, if it would happen to be that it is Fire and Ice he's doing next, I think it's worth mentioning that Frank Frazetta's birthday will be next month(El Rey Network always acknowledges the birthdays of artists, actors, film directors, etc., on facebook and twitter). If Rodriguez does have something new to announce on the remake, it would only be apt that it is on that day.

No one is as bad about this than del Toro. Let's not kid ourselves.

Well to be fair Del Toro is an expensive filmmaker because of his insistence on practical effects (and would we want him any other way?). He once said that the way he gets movies made is that he comes up with about four projects with scripts and concept art and projected budgets and goes around pitching them all to different studios at once until someone accepts something. On the on hand this is ingenious on the other hand it does tend to leave a big trail of awesome but never realised projects.

GDT's problem is that he talks about them in public unless most directors too.
