It seems WB has started their television advertising early by releasing TV spots.

Here is a report from watchmencomicmovie.com -courtesy of KenWMFan

Surpised the TV ads are starting so early for it. Though it would be another month or so. It did not show any new footage but it had the tag line "you never seen superheroes like this".

It apparently was shown on ESPN.

I agree that the line does sound cheesy but whatever, at least they started advertising.

I hope that's a misquote. I'd hate if the actual tv spot had bad grammar.

I don't think a tagline like "you've never seen superheroes like this before" really does a good job at summing up the text of the film

Considering the ad was played during a football game, I wouldn't worry too much

The promo line didn't really do anything for me, but I'm probably not part of the demographic they wanted to appeal to there. You have to figure that there would be some ads looking to play on the superhero aspect in trying to draw the attention of the GA.

I'd like to think some 'smarter' spots will be following soon.

I understand the angle WB would take regarding this movie, afterall it's so layered and complex it'd be tough to sum up in a few words during a 30 second ad. I think i'd just include a little Rorschach dialogue rather than an actual tagline

Updated the photo link for those who might not be able to see it (was having problems at a different site)

i saw one on FOX, looks great

I saw the one for the Baltimore vs. Tennessee game.

I recorded it with the DVR...how do I get it to my computer, and then teh internets (though I know how to do that

I just saw it on fox too during the Giants-Eagles game. Totally caught me off guard
