Tells the story of two sets of parents who decide to have a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl.

Together with a fantastic cast and a great director it is easily one of my most-anticipated films of the year.

I know a lot of people is still angry about his criminal past but lets try to keep his professional life and his personal life apart and stay on topic about this film.

I don't care about his past. The cast looks great and I've enjoyed some of his past films, I'll definitely be catching this one, just not sure if I'll see it in the theatre.

I'm not sold by the plot. Is it just going to take place under one meeting and in one house or is it more to it?

I do not, however, doubt the awesomeness that is Roman Polanski! He's done some of my favourite movies of all time so I trust in him.

I'm glad to see actors such as these can see past his past and see him for what he should be seen as. I still feel bad for him. People seem to forget his wife was butchered.

There's no actor in the world that deserves a comeback more than Jodie Foster. And its great Waltz's career is going in the right direction. Hopefully this is as good as it seems.

Wow, this cast is top notch. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

GUY PEARCE

But yeah, I've always liked Foster too.

I like that the movie is just about a meeting between two sets of parents negotiating and everything just slowy falls apart, with the great cast and Polanski directing this movie is going to be something special.

Like Crockett said it just the negotiation between the two parents and how it all falls apart.

Here is what Foster said about the movie
She said it might not be quite as serious as expected. "It all happens in real-time, so it’s about an hour and 45 minutes of negotiation between two sets of parents and how it all falls apart," she said. "Kind of like Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, but a little funnier. There’s a lot of wit.”

i heard the play is awesome. i like this cast very much. looking foward to a nice evening in my local theater :)

I think this is a biased stance. He knowingly had sex with an underaged child, fled the country to resist arrest, and went about his life for three decades. As talented as Polanski is, he deserved a much longer term than the one he received, and it angers me that people can get away with such things. I don't see how his recognition in cinema should outweigh his garish actions. Also, I don't really see how his wife's murder factors into this. It's incredibly sad what the Manson clan did, but I only see that as cheap ethos on his defenders' part to include it.

For a title like "Carnage", the premise is pitifully boring sounding.

True. I agree. There's no excuse for what he did. It was horrible. She did forgive him, but still, her life won't be the same. But I'm just saying people forget what happened to his wife. Everyone remembers the Manson clan, but not who they butchered. I feel sympathy for him in that regard. I don't defend what he did to the girl.

I misread your original post, I took as more of a defense of him than this. My bad.

He's a gifted filmmaker, so it's good they can see him for what he does now, and not have to look at what he did. It's unforgiveable what he did do, but it shouldn't get in the way of his films or actors who choose work with him. Clearly great actors still do. I respect the actors who are willing to just look at him as an artist and collaborate.

I haven't watch any of his films he composed for, but I'm planning to watch The Constant Gardener soon. Anyway, it's great to have an acclaimed composer doing the score for this.

Cool. It's also good that Sony Pictures Classics picked up the distribution rights for North America, now for the international as well.
