Switch RUMOR: Switch Pro in the works

^ This post will not age well.

Only if people move goal posts and pretend that the device update that actually happens is totally what they meant all along, and not the various fever dream claims of "PS4 power! And a longer battery life! And native 4K screen!"

Developers Are Making Games for a Nintendo 4K Console That Doesn’t Exist

Many people were surprised to learn that Nintendo Co.’s new video game console is missing a common feature of rival systems: support for high-fidelity, 4K graphics. Perhaps most perplexed were the numerous developers who were working on 4K games using a software toolkit provided by Nintendo.

Employees at 11 game companies said their teams were in possession of Nintendo’s 4K development kit for the Switch. The companies span the globe, ranging from large publishers to small studios and include at least one that has never made a console game before, Zynga Inc., according to the employees, who asked not to be identified because they weren’t authorized to discuss their projects publicly.

*cough*

Report: Games In The Works For 4K Nintendo Console That Doesn't Officially Exist [Update]

The short version is, not only has Zynga explicitly denied the report, but *Nintendo* has explicitly denied the report. . . to their investors, not the public.

This is the same damn carnival psychic routine that has been going on for four years now, and it has long past the date where they are clearly hoping that the sun will finally rise so they can claim power over celestial forces.

If Nintendo is telling their investors this is fake, it is fake. Lying to them would put them in a world of trouble and would not make any sense either.

Bloomberg has been dead wrong before too. The most memorable instance of them being straight up wrong was a false claim that certain motherboards were being packed with a spyware chip in China and sent out to unsuspecting computer manufacturers.

I definitely would've gotten the Switch OLED if it was a pro model. Now I'm just wondering when the next Nintendo console is gonna drop.
