Production Weekly says that Samuel L. Jackson is set to play the lead in The Cleaner, a thriller written by Matthew Aldrich.

The project centers on Jackson's character Tom, an extremely hygienic man who uses this urge in his professional life as a crime scene cleaner. When he somehow becomes involved in a job he later finds out was a covered up murder, he gets tied in to a web of deception, that unearth his own family's long buried pain and secrets.

Seven weeks of filming begins January taking in locations around Shreveport, Louisiana.

I think there's some sort of unintentional mix-up here. The Cleaner will have to change titles or delay production due to Code Name: The Cleaner being released. Which looks kind of funny.

Eva Mendes Gets Cleaner

Eva Mendes (Ghost Rider) has signed to star in Cleaner, a thriller from Millennium Films and Anonymous Content being directed by Renny Harlin, says The Hollywood Reporter. Also signed on is Christa Campbell, joining a cast toplined by Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris and Keke Palmer. Production began Monday in Louisiana.

Written by Matthew Aldrich, the story centers on a former cop (Jackson) who makes his living cleaning up crime scenes. After cleaning a murder site, he discovers that the crime was never reported to the police and that he has unwittingly covered up a homicide.

Mendes will play the widow of the slain man who turns to Jackson for help. Campbell will be a coach to Jackson's daughter (Palmer).

The film is produced by Jackson, Avi Lerner, Michael P. Flannigan, Lati Grobman, Alix Madigan and Steve Golin. Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Joe Gatta, Eli Selden, Paul Green and Julie Yorn are executive producing.

How does Jackson find time to make nearly 4 movies a year. He hast to when an iron man actor award for multipal film years every year. Sure they are not all Star Wars or Pulp Fiction but he has to be the busiest man in hollywood. Him and Morgan Freeman.

i think having "code name " in the title would be enough to legally differentiate the two movies
