Sandman Mystery Theater

Anybody pick up the new vertigo series?
I liked it a lot. I'm curious how this new guy is going to do as Sandman and if Sandy Hawkins will play into it at all. I doubt it because of the Vertigo embargo but you never know.
I think it stayed true to the old Mystery Theater very well and I am excited about this mini. Hopefully Sandman can get an ongoing. Maybe have some Daniel of the Endless ties.

I thought about picking it up how many issues are out and how well do u need to know the original series?

It's a 5 issue mini. Issue one came out the 13th. Umm... all you need to know thus far was that Weseley Dodds was a man who's dream were prophecies and he took people down using his gas gun.
