Comedy Bugonia - dir. Yorgos Lanthimos

The original was definitely original. And something else.

If they keep that ending, well... American audiences gonna hate it.

Well. Kinds of Kindness 2 looks absolutely nuts.

But really, the trailer got my attention for sure.

Plemons and Stone are EATING.

Great film. I think this might be one of the best performances that I've seen from Jesse Plemons, though Emma Stone brings her A-game as well. It delves deep into layers of conspiracy theory territory or the echo chambers that you'd find on YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Bluesky, 4chan, the list goes on where you'd just want confirmation of your own viewpoints.

It sounds absurd in premise, the premise that Emma Stone's character finds herself entangled in, but as the film goes on, there's this question of 'Wait...what if some of these random theories are true?' More than that, it's a bleak look at humanity and whether it deserves to go on after how it's ravaged the Earth through the selfish and destructive acts of humans.

Really enjoyed this one.

Watched this yesterday. I didn't go crazy for it like a lot of others did but it was leaps and bounds better than Kinds of Kindness, which I didn't really care for. Plemons and Stone were amazing in this. The ending was more or less satisfying. As humans, we deserved that. I just hope the animals turn out okay. :o
