Then life on Earth is doomed anyway. The moon helps stabilizing Earth's axis. Without the moon Earth's axis would wobble more dramatically than it does today, with more dramatic climate changes as a consequence
yup hes right, watch the documentary, what if we had no moon its cool, they suggest that if the moon does go further away from us, (which it is, 1 inch per year) the earth axis wont be stable any longer, colder climate areas will go hot and barren, hotter areas, would go cold.
and we would probably have 30-40 hour days, since day nigh cycles would be thrown off as well.
also to the mars idea, if the moon does go, than yes mars is the most likely candidate for living on a new planet, well that and Venus, all that needs to be done is terra forming, which is a warming of the planet and reviving plant life by releasing Co2 and natural greenhouse gass's, with the new warmer planet thawing out, ice will melt, water vapor will be released, and rain clouds will form, giving mars more water, leave the planet for about 500 years and it will be changed drastically, grow plants, food, built housing, labs, green houeses.
will have earth 2.0 by the year 2600 - 3000
but there are ways to get it done alot faster.
