Has anyone tried to write a script for SG, and had it accepted?

I read that Berlanti productions does not take unsolicited scripts, but was just curious if anyone had tried to send one in, gotten lucky, and had it accepted.

If preferred, you can privately PM me, I'd be curious if anyone had any luck.

No one takes unsolicited scripts. There are too many legal issues surrounding it. Plus I think doing so would be in violation of the union regulations.

It could open up a whole can of worms. If they had an idea that was similar to the script they would have to either discard their own script or risk getting sued by someone claiming WB stole their idea.

Unless a release is included I'd guess, that would free their ability to read it. There are standard ones that could be sent in with the script.

I was told that the primary reason that production companies don't take scripts is because of funds, where they already are paying a staff of say, 7-10 staff writers to do the 20 -22 shows that season, and then would have to pay for a single spec script so they would be paying not just the FT staff salaries plus the spec script fees.

Personally, I'd take a job as a writer with them in lieu of getting paid for my scripts.

you need an agent to get into the industry. studios will only read scripts submitted by agents.
