Watched this last night and yeah this was fantastic and I was honestly really surprised by the amount of sex and nudity in this from beginning to end.

I know this is still an independent flick but they definitely pushed the R-rating IMO. Strong performances across the board and the second half of this movie is funny asf.

I was wondering what this was reminding me of and it definitely reminded me a bit of Good Time and Uncut Gems in terms of the tone.

I also felt like there was a little bit Paul Verhoeven's influence was sprinkled in there too.

Reading the winning results- fantastic showing for Anora at the Oscars. While again, my favorite film of 2024 was The Substance and I would have preferred Moore won, I cannot deny the fact that Anora was a fantastic film- my second favorite film of last year. What this team pulled off was nothing short of a spectacular film, and I'm now curious what this does for Madison's career. Her star was already rising between her film work and time on TV in Better Things, but now she'll hopefully continue to ascend.

I guess this is what happens when you have a film that features Russians that doesn't take a political stance. Both of the Russian actors in the film have chosen to remain silent on Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine, which leaves them free to continue working both at home and in the West.

Finally saw it and really enjoyed it. Mikey was fantastic; I totally understand the accolades. Ivan was the biggest tool I’ve ever seen. He was like if Pooty Shoe from Mythic Quest was the son of a Russian oligarch. I hated him so much lol.
